Chapter 271 - Chapter 271: Mjolnir, the Hammer of Kings

Al'Akir escaped, and the remaining Wind Elementals were no longer able to resist Freya.

Any Wind Elementals who dared to stubbornly resist were slain by the heroes, while the captured Wind Elementals were all silent, wondering what their fate would be.

Gale said, "I will go hunt down Al'Akir. Before I return, decide who will lead the Wind Elementals."

The four great lords of the Wind Council all possessed the prestige to rule the Wind Elementals. It was just that their strength was a bit lacking, somewhat unworthy of the title of Wind Elemental King.

However, even so, Al'Akir had to be killed. Who told him to seek death?

The Rainbow Bridge teleported Gale to Aurakyir's Sky Throne. When Al'Akir saw Gale pursuing him, he immediately ordered the Wind Elementals to resist, then activated Aurakyir's Sky Throne to return to the Wind Elemental Realm.

As long as he reached the Wind Elemental Realm, he could summon an endless number of Wind Elementals and overwhelm Gale with a sea of numbers.

Gale was not in a hurry, slowly and methodically clearing out the Wind Elementals. Having fought the Wind Elementals until now, he had not analyzed how the Wind Elementals used wind and lightning.

The innate abilities of elemental creatures made Gale very curious. If he could decipher the way elemental creatures used elements, perhaps Mages could use elemental spells more conveniently, demonstrating greater power with a small amount of mana.

Secretly using Arcane analysis made Gale's speed in clearing the Wind Elementals even slower.

Al'Akir was very puzzled; with Gale's strength, this shouldn't be the case, should it?

He thought this might be Gale's conspiracy, but he didn't care. Aurakyir's Sky Throne also needed time to return to the Wind Elemental Realm. If Gale wanted to stall for time, he would cooperate. As long as they reached the Wind Elemental Realm, that would be the time of Gale's defeat.

Just like that, Aurakyir's Sky Throne successfully returned to the Wind Elemental Realm.

The Wind Elemental Realm was full of Wind Elementals. Among the endless Wind Elementals, there appeared a floating stone array similar to a small asteroid belt. Aurakyir's Sky Throne flew over the floating stone array, and at regular intervals, a palace complex would appear.

This palace complex was composed of sky fortresses, which were the dwelling places of Wind Elemental creatures. Aurakyir's Sky Throne arrived at the largest palace complex, stopping at its very top. This palace complex was Al'Akir's main base—the Wind God Palace.

"We've arrived?"

Gale was a little surprised, somewhat unsatisfied as he deactivated his Arcane analysis.

Al'Akir sneered, "You're truly bold, daring to follow me back to the Wind Elemental Realm. Don't you know this is my territory?"

"I do!" Gale said, spreading his hands. "I just want all the Wind Elementals to know that they're getting a new leader."

Al'Akir was stunned for a moment; he hadn't expected Gale to give such an answer.

Moreover, this answer was simply an insult to him.

"Since you're seeking death, I shall grant it!"

With that, Al'Akir's entire body vibrated, and countless Wind Elemental creatures stirred, rushing to reinforce Aurakyir's Sky Throne. As long as they arrived, Gale would have no chance of survival.

"Don't waste your energy!"

Gale struck the eternal spear on the floor with a loud bang, and infinite divine power surged outwards. The Wind Elementals attacking him disintegrated one by one, turning into basic Wind Elementals and dissipating into the air.

Al'Akir immediately turned and fled; Gale had not used his full strength in the previous battle.

Gale had even killed Ragnaros; killing Al'Akir would be too easy. Although he was still a mortal, years of using Arcane and life energy to strengthen his body had allowed Gale to reach the physical strength of a demigod. Years of using divine power had caused Gale's soul to become imbued with divinity, and once he reached a critical point, he could break the shackles of life and transcend the mundane.

The Rainbow Bridge pierced through Al'Akir's chest. Gale appeared in front of him, following the Rainbow Bridge, and Mjolnir summoned a pillar-like bolt of lightning that struck Al'Akir's body.

Boom—

The loud noise stunned all the Wind Elementals who had come to reinforce. Which Wind Elemental Lord had summoned such powerful lightning?

Under the hellish lightning strike, Al'Akir looked at Gale in horror, "This... impossible..."

He never imagined that in the Wind Elemental Realm, someone could be more favored by the Wind Elementals than him.

"Nothing is impossible!"

Gale imbued Mjolnir with divine power, and the lightning intensified again, directly blasting Al'Akir into dust. Al'Akir's essence transformed into specks of light particles that surged towards Mjolnir, finally disappearing.

The Wind Elementals watched Gale kill Al'Akir, utterly shocked. Their leader, killed by a mere mortal?

Gale took out the devourer of gods and pulled Al'Akir's soul inside. Only by adding him to the list could this Wind Elemental King be completely annihilated.

Putting away the devourer of gods, he felt the changes in Mjolnir, and his expression became strange. After absorbing Al'Akir's essence, Mjolnir actually gained the ability to freely enter and exit the Wind Elementals, and could also summon Wind Elementals.

"Avenge Al'Akir!"

Some Wind Elementals shouted loudly, flying onto Aurakyir's Sky Throne to attack Gale. But as soon as they stepped onto Aurakyir's Sky Throne, they felt a sense of majesty.

The Wind Elementals all bowed to Gale, no longer having any thoughts of attack.

Gale curiously looked at the Wind Elementals, then at the Miao Miao Hammer in his hand. A strange thought arose, and he tried to lift the Miao Miao Hammer.

The Wind Elementals immediately paid their respects to the Miao Miao Hammer.

Indeed, the Miao Miao Hammer had become a Hammer of Kings.

The Marvel Miao Miao Hammer: whoever wielded it became the King of Asgard. And this Miao Miao Hammer: whoever wielded it became the King of the Wind Elementals.

Should he go back and tell Freya that there was no need to choose a new king for the Wind Elementals, and just let the Miao Miao Hammer be it?

Soon, he dismissed this idea.

Although the Miao Miao Hammer could command the Wind Elementals, Gale had no intention of becoming the King of the Wind Elementals. He didn't even have the thought of having a son to be the King of the Wind Elementals, after all, the Wind Elemental Realm was the territory of the Wind Elementals, and only Wind Elementals were accustomed to staying there.

Finding a new king for the Wind Elementals, the Miao Miao Hammer could become the Sword of Damocles above the new king's head. If the new king had any bad ideas, he could come and kill him at any time.

Gale announced, "Al'Akir attempted to destroy the real world, and I have eliminated him. The Titan Guardians and I have agreed to choose a new king for the Wind Elementals. Until the new king is chosen, all Wind Elementals will obey my command!"

The Wind Elementals were very unwilling, but they dared not refute.

Gale didn't care whether they were willing or not; if anyone dared to object, he would just kill them.

He sent all the Wind Elementals back, and only then did he look at Al'Akir's Wind God Palace. The palace of the Wind Elemental King should contain many good things, it was time to count the spoils of war.
