Hydross returned to Nordrassil, and there were many murlocs in the waters near Nordrassil. He thought of trying them first to see if he could transform them into capable subordinates.
As he approached The Maelstrom, a group of massive marine creatures suddenly darted out from behind the reefs, appearing before Hydross in the blink of an eye.
Hydross thought he was under attack and stopped, on guard.
However, these marine creatures merely frolicked around him.
It was then that Hydross realized these marine creatures were Orca.
Considering the lessons he had learned, Orca were a type of marine creature that was very friendly to humanoid beings. However, they were also powerful predators; their immense size allowed them to defeat many marine creatures, even the dreaded sharks, which they could easily bully.
Hydross had a sudden idea: perhaps he could form an Orca Knight.
Emulating his father's method of subduing Smaug, Hydross reached out to touch the Orca that was most affectionate towards him.
The Orca nuzzled Hydross's hand affectionately, but Hydross unexpectedly leaped onto its back. The trident of the tides condensed the essence of the ocean and infused it into the Orca's body.
The other Orca immediately became hostile, thinking Hydross was harming their companion.
They attacked Hydross, but he controlled the water currents to push them away.
The Orca beneath Hydross trembled violently, its body swelling. In a short while, it became twice its previous size. Its color scheme also changed from black and white to black and blue, and a large amount of Water Elementals' energy radiated from within its body.
Evidently, it had become a magical creature.
The Orca opened its mouth and emitted a sound wave, stopping its companions' attacks. Then, it controlled the water currents, caressing Hydross's body to express its gratitude.
Hydross smiled. The first step was successful, so it was time for the second step.
Orca are not humanoid beings and cannot speak, making communication very difficult. Hydross needed to enlighten them and enable them to speak human language to become his effective helpers.
Non-humanoid beings need immense power to change their body structure to speak.
Nordrassil and Smaug were both in this situation; their previous strength or intelligence was insufficient to allow them to alter their body structure, so they couldn't speak. After Gale enhanced their strength and simultaneously changed their body structure, they could easily communicate with other creatures.
Orca are different; they are more difficult than Nordrassil and Smaug. Because dragons are relatively intelligent and have interacted with humanoid beings, they have heard others speak. Although they couldn't speak themselves, they understood the meaning of the language. Orca had never heard humanoid beings speak before, so to make them speak, it was necessary to systematically teach them, just like enlightening a child.
Now that the Orca possessed strength, the next step was to modify its body.
Hydross began to cast Druid spells. In terms of body modification, Druid spells are painless and harmless, and more effective than Arcane spells.
Natural energy enveloped the Orca's body. The Orca felt as if its bones and organs were shifting. However, it did not sense any malice from Hydross, so it did not resist.
With the body modification complete, Hydross cast Arcane spells again.
Based on his modification of Nordrassil, Smaug, and other dragons, Gale created a spell called Enlightenment. Some dragons have low intelligence, and only by enhancing their intelligence can they learn language.
This spell is not very useful and is not within the scope of magic academy teachings. It is stored in the Royal Library and is one of the favorite spells of many rangers.
Current rangers have many branches, with Beast Master Hunter being the most prominent. Luna's legend is a story many Elves have heard since childhood, and a portion of Elves aspire to become Beast Master Hunter, wanting to raise a Storm Dragon as a pet.
Hydross was the same in his childhood; at that time, he did not know that Gale had already arranged his future path.
For the first few years, he worked hard to become a Beast Master Hunter, learning a lot of beast-taming knowledge, including Enlightenment.
Later, Gale assigned Hydross to manage the ocean. Although Hydross was disappointed, he did not give up the idea of becoming a Beast Master Hunter. If he couldn't raise a Storm Dragon as a pet, then raising a sea beast should still be possible, right?
Now, the appearance of the Orca also fulfilled his dream of being a Beast Master Hunter.
With Enlightenment upon him, the Orca felt the whole world was different. The previously interesting ocean now became even more interesting.
In a trance, he seemed to understand Hydross's words.
"From today on, you are Nashania, the Devourer!"
Nashania??? My name???
Although he didn't understand the meaning, the Orca felt incredibly joyful. A life, like grass in autumn, all things eventually pass, only a name can leave a mark in the world.
The Orca burst out of the water, leaping up to express its joy to Hydross.
Hydross used water currents to stabilize himself on the Orca's back, frolicking with him in the ocean.
Behind Nashania, the Orca pod followed. Although they had not been enlightened, they knew that Nashania had become different from then on.
Enlightenment was only the third step; Hydross still needed to teach Nashania Sarassian daily, which is Titan and Elvish. This is a tool for communication and also a spell for casting, as Nashania already possesses the strength to learn Water Elementals spells.
While Hydross was teaching Nashania, a wave of fanaticism was sweeping through the Gurubashi Trolls.
Over the past few decades, the Trolls had gradually lost Ai Er Wen Forest, West Wilderness, the southern Redridge Mountains, and were in the process of losing Sunshine Forest.
Moreover, this was even with the Elves' full offensive, as the Elves were busy building castles and developing the occupied lands.
Nordrassil established North Valley Fortress in the northern valley to protect the farmlands within the valley. He also built Westspring Fortress on the vital transportation route between Ai Er Wen Forest and West Wilderness. Westspring Fortress spanned across Ai Er Wen Forest, with the two parts connected by a high bridge, allowing ships to pass beneath. Near the coast north of the Ai Er Wen River, a canal was dug for warships to pass. Thus, by utilizing the navy, Nordrassil separated Ai Er Wen Forest, West Wilderness, Stillwater Lake, and Sunshine Forest.
The involvement of the navy allowed the Elves to successfully occupy the aforementioned areas and possess the ability to attack Sunshine Forest at any time, putting immense pressure on the Trolls.
Under such pressure, the Hakkari made a comeback, proclaiming in ZulGurub that only by welcoming back Hakkar could the Gurubashi Trolls be saved.
