Once the conversation turned to business, Dominic's expression hardened. He put away his earlier awe and nodded at Tej.
"Your turn."
Tej—Brian's old friend—wasn't a racer anymore after his crash. He mainly handled the organization of races and the betting.
But no one underestimated him. He was a top-tier hacker—the man who once shut down an entire city grid on his own.
So all the files and USB drives were in his hands.
The Black tech genius gave a small nod and walked up to the central computer. He plugged in the USB.
The massive screen flickered to life, automatically loading the encrypted files and sorting them into neat folders.
Within seconds, Leon noticed a photo.
It was a headshot—another Black man with tight cornrows, a cold, predatory stare. A dangerous man.
"This is our target, right?" Leon tapped the photo, opening it in full resolution.
Dominic nodded.
"Yeah. His name is Moses Jakande—a terrorist from Azerbaijan. He runs his own private military company. He's the one who kidnapped Ramsey."
Moses' plan was clear: use Ramsey to gain control of the God's Eye program and achieve his own ambitions.
Leon flipped through more images and paused on a woman with a short, curly "ramen" hairstyle.
Her bronze skin, sharp features, and confident gaze stood out immediately.
"Let me guess—Ramsey?" He rubbed his chin, confirming his hunch.
Tej opened another file.
"Ramsey. Female hacker. Creator of God's Eye—a system capable of hacking into any networked device and using it to locate anyone, anywhere, through global camera access."
Leon nodded slightly. He knew the name from reputation alone.
Dominic's tone turned grim.
"Originally, this had nothing to do with us. But Guo Da—that bastard—forced our hand."
Guo Da's current location was still unknown. To track him down, they needed God's Eye. But the hacker who built it was now in enemy hands.
To find Guo Da, they first had to rescue Ramsey.
Leon leaned closer. "Where's Moses now?"
Tej replied, "Somewhere in the Caucasus Mountains. We have intel that tomorrow afternoon, they'll be moving Ramsey up the mountain, using the back trail."
Leon frowned.
Azerbaijan—the "Land of Fire," sitting between Europe and Asia, a volatile crossroads with constant border conflicts.
A place so dangerous most governments listed it as a no-travel zone.
But what worried Leon wasn't the danger—it was the timing.
They had to get there by noon tomorrow. Even by plane, that meant breaking through restricted airspace and fighting their way up a mountain.
It was practically a suicide mission.
At best, maybe only Dominic and Leon would make it out alive.
Leon wasn't about to throw his team's lives away. He studied the tactical map, then pointed at a narrow trail halfway up the slope.
"We land here. Thoughts?"
Everyone leaned closer. The spot Leon pointed to was halfway up the mountain—close to the enemy route but with thinner defenses.
The bulk of Moses' guards were stationed at the base and the summit.
If they could get to that mid-point, it could actually work.
"I think this plan's insane," Roman frowned immediately.
"The base is crawling with guards. We'd take heavy losses just trying to reach that spot."
Brian smirked. "You're a great driver, Leon—but this isn't a street race. Leave the combat planning to the pros."
His tone was patronizing. Leon's driving skill was unquestionable—but to them, he was still an outsider when it came to covert rescues.
Dominic's crew murmured in agreement. The plan seemed reckless.
Then one voice broke the silence.
"I think it's possible," said Shaw, stepping forward. "As long as we skip the guards entirely."
Everyone turned to him in confusion.
"What are you suggesting?"
"Simple," Shaw said flatly. "We fly the cars in… and drop them. Cargo plane. High altitude. Open parachutes to cushion the landing."
The room went dead silent.
Modern chutes couldn't carry a tank—but a car? Definitely possible.
They'd drop from the sky, land near the mid-slope, and move in immediately.
Dominic's entire crew stared at Shaw in disbelief.
"Wait—you mean literally drive cars out of a plane?"
"Exactly."
Leon grinned, clearly enjoying their reactions. "What's wrong? Scared? Fine. My team will handle the drop—you guys can stay on the ground and draw fire."
It was the plan he'd been forming all along—crazy, yes, but brilliant.
Even Brian, who had mocked him minutes earlier, fell silent. The audacity alone was mind-blowing.
Dominic thought for a long moment, then finally nodded.
"I'm in."
His teammates froze, turning to stare.
"The boss agrees? You're out of your mind!" Roman blurted.
"If the parachute fails, we're splattered across the mountainside!"
But Dominic's tone was firm.
"No time left. We move. The longer we wait, the closer Guo Da gets. Once Ramsey's transferred, we lose the trail."
Leon clapped his hands once.
"Now that's guts. I like it."
Dominic's courage matched his strength—no surprise there.
Tej frowned. "Then what about the plane? We'll need a massive cargo transport to carry all ten cars."
Leon smiled knowingly. "Don't worry. We've got a guy who steals planes for a living."
Everyone turned to look at Benny.
"What?!" Benny's jaw dropped.
"I steal helicopters! Nobody said anything about transport planes!"
Leon just gave him that same mischievous smile.
Benny's scalp tingled.
This time… he knew he was in for a real nightmare.
