Chapter 110 - Doug the Trucker

"The mission is simple: drive the rig before midnight and enter the bar at different times. The special teams will be in the containers ready to deploy when the signal is given, while we will enter as ordinary customers looking to drown our fatigue in alcohol."

"Wait — do I have to get in too?" Father Doug, who had been given a weapon and special gear for the mission, intervened quickly, wanting to keep up with the explanations.

Jonathan looked at the agents in their tactical combat gear and said, "It's better if you come with us. We need people who live in this sort of environment so we don't stand out."

"Stand out? I've been called many things in my life, but no one has ever told me I'm special." Father Doug said as he slid his two pistols into his belt.

"We'll have to cross the border into Mexico. We thought the tavern was inside our country, but since it's outside we must move with what we have."

That was why the United States police had found nothing — the disappearances occurred on Mexican territory and the only way to eliminate them was to go directly into that country.

As a high-ranking commander of The Order, Jonathan had no problem crossing with weapons; he wanted to do everything rudimentarily so as not to draw unnecessary attention from people.

Also, because his will to kill dark entities was great, he would personally kill them all before detonating everything with the portable bomb Bobby carried.

He would exterminate them all — every one who wasn't tied to a deal with the church would be killed until their bodies were pulverized.

While Jonathan's thoughts wandered over how he would kill them, Wednesday asked, "Will there be a problem if I go with you?"

"How old are you?"

"Does that matter?" Wednesday asked seriously.

"No."

"Then let's go — we'll beat anyone who gets in our way."

Father Doug, seeing Jonathan's emotionless expression, knew things would become extremely bloody, so he suggested, "Boss, she should stay in the truck with the control agents."

"Do what you think best." Jonathan checked the time and, before the helicopter descended, he jumped out without any protection.

"I'm not going to stay in the back over a little blood; if that's the plan, I'll return to Nevermore." Wednesday had a deal with Jonathan and if he refused, she would rather go back.

"Shoot for the head, and when the time comes don't let them bite you."

"Zz… Descend at the agreed point. Two trucks with the necessary equipment will be waiting."

When all the agents exited one by one, they entered the armored container of the black truck and began to gear up. The team in the rear would be waiting for the order to attack the site where the vampires were, while those in front would handle the wait.

"I'll drive — it's been a long time since I drove one of these." Father Doug climbed into the driver's seat without waiting for instructions.

Seeing Father Doug take initiative, Jonathan said, "Straight to the border. We have permission to pass without inspection, so don't stop for anything."

"Got it." Father Doug started the engine and the truck quickly sped toward the Mexico border.

There was a second vehicle that served as a mobile ambulance; it was there to treat any kind of injury or supply special equipment depending on the threat.

Both trucks headed rapidly to the border, while Jonathan reclined in the rear. Having slept little, he needed to rest; if he wanted to be in top condition he had to sleep.

As they neared the border, Wednesday looked at Father Doug and asked, "Does he hate vampires?"

"He hates everything his family hunted — normal for his bloodline's heritage." Father Doug replied as he drove.
