His frown deepened, his thoughts darkening with unease. "What are you intending to do with that information?" he asked slowly.
Kai's fingers tapped against the edge of the metal tray, his expression thoughtful. "If my theory is correct," he began carefully, "Mrs. Qinn might be the catalyst his body has been searching for. If he spends more time around her, his body could begin to adapt. It could lessen the rejection he feels toward physical contact with other women."
"You're saying she could cure him?" Derek asked flatly.
Kai adjusted his glasses. "Not immediately. But if his body continues to show tolerance toward her, there is a chance his condition could stabilize permanently. It may be possible for him to overcome his allergy entirely."
