"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 176: Aprons Really Are Magical

Back home, Draconis took stock of his spoils.

The quintuplets' commission was complete. The reward? Generous, to say the least.

But after this, he doubted he'd be taking on another job for them anytime soon.

Some bonds were just… complicated.

He couldn't help but smile wryly. Sure, he liked the sisters—a lot, actually—but he wasn't about to play games with their hearts. That's why he'd been honest about having someone he liked.

He had zero interest in being the kind of guy who strung girls along. For him, romance was all about mutual understanding.

His harem was officially open for business now. If the quintuplets couldn't accept that, they were free to keep their distance from this devil. The choice was theirs.

In the kitchen, Asia was busy cooking. Sensing Draconis's magic, she poked her head out.

"Welcome home!"

Draconis raised an eyebrow.

"What's with that outfit…?"

He hadn't expected this—Asia was wearing an apron. And only an apron.

"Um… Kiryuu told me to try it. She said you'd definitely like it if I dressed this way…"

Asia's cheeks burned with embarrassment. Even as a devil, the gentle innocence she'd carried as a nun hadn't faded. Now, wrapped in the mystical power of the apron, Draconis found himself momentarily stunned.

The "Kiryuu" Asia mentioned was Kiryuu Aika—her closest human friend at school.

Asia had never had friends before; it was heartbreaking. After she came to school and made friends, Draconis and Rias had been genuinely happy for her.

But, well… Kiryuu Aika was a character.

Rumor had it, she possessed a terrifying skill: even through a guy's pants, she could gauge his size with uncanny precision.

Compared to her, all those "guess the measurements" games were child's play.

Scary stuff.

"…Just what has Kiryuu been teaching you?" Draconis sighed.

His once-holy little nun was getting more devilish by the day.

"Um… You don't like it?"

"Actually… I kind of do. Strictly speaking, she wasn't wrong…"

Draconis laughed, half helpless, half amused. Kiryuu really did understand what guys liked—she just didn't know how to be subtle.

Then again, he wasn't exactly an angel himself.

His reputation as the "clothes-destroying maniac" was spreading fast these days…

Draconis stepped closer, wrapped Asia in his arms, and kissed her—soft, sweet, dizzying.

It took Asia a moment to remember she still had dinner to finish.

Rias returned just then, commission complete, and nearly dropped her bag at the sight of Asia's apron.

"This—this look… I want to try it too!"

She was all in, grinning at Draconis. "Help me put one on!"

…Really? You're joining in?

Draconis opened his mouth, speechless. Even Rias was getting swept up in the trend?

But… Rias in just an apron…

He couldn't help imagining it.

Actually… sounded pretty great.

Draconis grinned.

Uh-oh.

Now he was curious.

…So why not?

He fetched a fresh apron from the kitchen. Rias wasted no time, stripping off her clothes and slipping it on.

Draconis tied the strings behind her, hands lingering just a little.

Perfect.

Absolutely perfect.

"How do I look?" Rias tossed her fiery hair, eyes sparkling with mischief.

Draconis tilted his head, taking in every detail, then grinned and instructed:

"Gorgeous. Now turn around, back to me. Bend forward a little, legs straight, that's it—lower your upper body a bit more…"

Rias followed his directions.

Watching her, Draconis felt his heart rate spike—critical hit, attack speed maxed out.

Apron: When equipped solo, increases opposite-sex attack power +50%, crit rate +50%, crit damage +100%, attack speed +50%.

"Ara ara… What are you two up to?"

A sultry voice floated in—Akeno Himejima had arrived.

The whole club was moving in today. From now on, Draconis's house would be their shared home.

Akeno carried a single small suitcase—everything she owned inside.

"Akeno, you're here." Draconis smiled, taking her bag.

Akeno slid into his arms, planting a kiss on his cheek. "From now on, I'm living here too!"

"Looking forward to it," Draconis laughed.

Soon, Koneko and Xenovia teleported in, bags in tow.

"I'll share a room with Asia, okay?" Xenovia asked.

Within the group, Asia and Koneko were everyone's favorites.

"I'm taking that room," Koneko declared, golden eyes fixed on Draconis. "If you try peeking, I'll beat you up."

"I'm not that much of a perv," Draconis replied, smiling.

Rias and Asia looked ready to cry. It used to be just the two of them with Draconis—now everyone was here, and the competition was fierce.

"President, Asia, what's with those outfits…" Xenovia stared at the apron-wearers, baffled.

"It's the joy of living," Draconis replied smoothly, guiding Xenovia to the sofa and sitting beside Koneko, arm around her petite shoulders.

"Draconis has gone full bad guy," Koneko said, deadpan, golden eyes flicking up at him before she calmly resumed eating her strawberry daifuku.

"They dressed themselves—I didn't ask for it," Draconis protested, still smiling.

Koneko handed him her half-eaten daifuku. Draconis took a bite without hesitation.

In the kitchen, Rias and Akeno were already egging each other on, while the smell of Asia's cooking drifted through the house.

Draconis's gaze softened.

This once-empty house was suddenly overflowing with life.

"Oh, Draconis, should we ask my brother to help expand the house now that everyone's moving in?" Rias called from the kitchen.

"Hm? Is that even possible?"

"Of course! I just thought you might be sentimental—this is the house your parents left you, right?"

Draconis smiled gently.

"If we can, let's move it somewhere else for safekeeping. It'll be a nice memento."

His parents in this world had passed away long ago—he'd never even met them. But he was grateful. They'd given him a place to belong.
