"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 271: Overwhelming Dominance
The moment Draconis Yi unleashed his power, the air crackled—every eye in the yard widened in shock.
"Is it just me, or did he get even stronger?"
Kuroka's gaze sharpened. Draconis Yi's aura was expertly hidden, cloaked by Absolute Dominion, but she knew how to read the flow of ki with senjutsu. Even so, she could sense it: his strength had shifted, grown more dangerous since the last time they'd met.
How strong was he now?
Kuroka wondered, but only Draconis Yi really knew. He figured he was close—almost at Ultimate-class Devil level. He hadn't wasted a single moment since his last promotion; every day spent training, every ounce of progress earned.
When he finally broke through… maybe he'd get a real look at that black fortress looming in his future.
Under everyone's gaze, Draconis Yi swung his sword. No tricks, no special techniques—just raw power, and it hit with the force of an Ultimate-class Devil.
But Samael didn't flinch.
Draconis Yi's strike severed the energy absorption, but the creature quickly spat out new tendrils, latching onto Ophis again, draining her infinite power.
Samael was her nemesis, the perfect counter—endlessly siphoning the strength of the Infinite Dragon God.
Draconis Yi wasn't exactly rooting for Ophis, but he had no intention of letting Cao Cao's crew get what they wanted. His eyes narrowed; he activated Promotion.
His next attack was monstrous—Samael's absorption was forcibly interrupted.
Georg's eyes went wide. "This guy… he's a monster."
Cao Cao, however, remained calm. "Impressive. I'll handle him."
Georg swallowed hard. "You sure? The White Dragon Emperor's still on the field…"
He was nervous, and with good reason; Draconis Yi was proving stronger than even the legendary White Dragon Emperor.
Cao Cao's grip tightened on the True Longinus, holy light gleaming along its shaft. "I'll try. If I can't do this, I don't deserve this spear."
"Balance Breaker!"
His voice rang out, and the spear transformed—seven orbs spun around him, each radiating dangerous power.
"This is my True Longinus's Balance Breaker: Polar Night Longinus Chakravartin's Radiant Divine Spear. Not fully complete, but close enough."
"Watch yourself. These Seven Treasures grant seven Sacred Gear abilities—each orb holds a different power."
Draconis Yi eyed the spear. Seven abilities? That was overkill. Even his own sword and shield combo wasn't that ridiculous.
Still, if that was the game, he'd play to win.
He invoked the Regalia Blade's amplification, his magic surging higher after Promotion.
Cao Cao attacked instantly. "Seven Treasures: Wheel Treasure!"
Draconis Yi moved to counter, but something felt off—he switched, summoning the Divine Lament Shield just in time to block the incoming blast.
The shield trembled, but held firm.
Cao Cao blinked, surprised. "That shield… Wheel Treasure destroys weapons—even Sacred Gears or Holy Swords should shatter. But yours…"
His technique had failed. The Divine Lament Shield absorbed the hit, completely undamaged.
If Draconis Yi had used the Regalia Blade, it might've been damaged. But the shield's defense was absurd—he'd guessed right.
Now it was his turn.
He swung the Regalia Blade, unleashing a blinding column of light—a sword of judgment, a hundred meters tall.
Judgment of the Monarch.
Cao Cao's face hardened. "Seven Treasures: Jewel Treasure!"
Draconis Yi felt his attack begin to shift, as if redirected.
"I'd advise you to stand down. The Jewel can transfer attacks to another target. You wouldn't want your own people caught in the crossfire, would you?"
Cao Cao's voice was light, almost mocking.
Draconis Yi frowned, focusing. He sensed the deflection growing stronger, ready to snatch his attack and send it elsewhere.
He sneered. There was no such thing as absolute defense. Even his own Citadel of Endless Dusk could be broken—burn through his magic, wait out the duration.
Attack transfer wasn't invincible.
He expanded his domain, Absolute Dominion blooming into pure sixth sense—every movement, every energy in the space laid bare before him.
He caught it—a thread of power linking his attack to Kuroka.
So that was the plan: make him hurt Kuroka, then spark a fight with Vali's group.
Nice try, but not happening.
Draconis Yi's lips curled into a smirk. He let Judgment of the Monarch fall.
BOOM!
The blast engulfed Cao Cao and his team.
Cao Cao's eyes went wide—his transfer effect had been severed, the redirection shattered by Draconis Yi's strike.
Impossible.
Shock froze him, but the danger was real—he scrambled to defend.
Judgment of the Monarch landed, and the whole group spat blood.
Cao Cao was stronger than Azazel now, but even he couldn't take a direct hit from Draconis Yi's ultimate attack unscathed.
Draconis Yi pressed his advantage, cold and relentless. He raised his sword again—another Judgment of the Monarch.
Georg's jaw dropped.
He can spam that move?
We're dead!
"I'm telling you—we should retreat!" Georg yelled at Cao Cao, panic rising. Draconis Yi was too much. He was done.
