Chapter 118 - Chapter 118: A Talk with Mike

"Did Mike at headquarters know about your framing and kidnapping of Robert?"

"Yes, Mike told us to do it. It seems someone was interested in Robert's business."

"Who do you usually go to at headquarters? Where does Mike usually live? What's the security like?"

"I go to Mike. He usually lives on the third floor of an apartment building behind the Phoenix Hotel on Five Points Street. You can see it by going through the hotel. There are dozens of gunmen guarding it year-round."

"Where are the headquarters' vault and warehouse?"

Soro hesitated slightly, then immediately felt a sharp pain in his neck.

"The vault is also on the third floor. As for the warehouse, there's one on every floor, but the most important one is on the third floor."

"Very good, where is your vault?"

Soro glanced at the safe in the office.

"Password?"

"You have to guarantee my safety… Ugh…"

Henry pulled out the Swift Sword that had pierced Soro's head and put it into his space.

He questioned Soro only to cross-reference with the confessions and black intelligence files he had obtained earlier.

Henry checked Soro's body, removed the money pouch from his waist, then put him into his space, and then carefully examined the office.

After more than ten minutes, Henry couldn't find anything unusual, so he put the safe, which had a 1-meter square base and was about 1.5 meters high, into his space.

Then Henry walked out of the room, closed the door, and went up to the third floor along the stairs.

He found that the doors of the rooms on the third floor were all open, probably because the night shift and day shift people were mixed together. So he checked each room, and when he found a bandit, he stabbed him in the neck with the Swift Sword, pulled it out sharply, then stabbed him in the heart, and then put him into his space.

After clearing the third floor, he went to the fourth floor, sending sixteen bandits to their demise in their sleep in less than five minutes.

Then Henry walked down to the first floor and entered the first room, where four bandits were playing cards and one was standing by watching.

Henry had a Swift Sword in each hand, lunged forward, and continuously stabbed with his swords.

His incredible physical fitness, combined with the 40% increase in agility and movement speed from his Divine Speed Talent LV2, made his movements as fast as lightning. In less than a second, a hole was torn open in the throat of every bandit.

Continue!

Another second passed, and a gash was also stabbed into the heart area of every bandit.

These bandits couldn't even make a sound until their death.

Henry said nothing, quietly ran into the second room and did the same, then the third, fourth, and fifth.

In less than half a minute, Henry had cleaned them all up; there were 23 people in five rooms.

Then Henry walked to the main door and said to the four thugs outside, "Hey, you four, Mr. Soro wants you in his office."

The four thugs were a bit strange—why was this guy calling them? Where was their companion from just now?

But they didn't think much of it—they were at the gang headquarters, and the other party was empty-handed, so what could be the problem?

When they walked through the door, they were met with the same long, fast, and fierce Swift Sword. Before they could react, their throats and chests were in excruciating pain, and they died instantly.

Henry put them all into his space, then walked down the stairs to the basement, where he found three guys playing cards five meters away, one of whom was looking up.

Henry flicked both hands, and two Flying Daggers sprouted from the necks of the three guys, who then collapsed onto the floor.

The front half of the entire basement was a warehouse, and the back half was a prison.

Henry searched two sets of keys from the three guys and then put them into his space as well.

After trying the keys, Henry successfully opened the warehouse and found that it mainly contained machetes, axes, pistols, and bullets. To his pleasant surprise, he found 1280 Flying Daggers, each 12 inches long and 12 ounces heavy.

There were also some miscellaneous items like kerosene, umbrellas, raincoats, candles, oil lamps, gas lamps, clothes, and so on.

Henry put all the pistols, bullets, and Flying Daggers into his space, and also picked out three axes and 20 barrels of 10-liter kerosene.

After finishing, Henry walked to the prison at the back, opened the door with a key, and found only a middle-aged white man, bruised and bloody all over, with his hands tied behind his back to an iron pillar.

"Robert?" Henry asked.

The middle-aged white man looked up.

"Your daughter asked me to help rescue you. Tell me, what's your daughter's name? How old is she?"

"Rachel Murphy, 18 years old." Robert's face showed hope.

Henry stepped forward and cut the rope with a dagger.

"Can you still walk or ride a horse?"

"Thank you! I can."

"Follow me."

Henry led the overjoyed and newly freed Robert back to the front warehouse.

"Change into some clean clothes, and I'll take you out."

"Okay." Robert quickly entered the warehouse, picked out a clean coarse cloth shirt and jeans to change into, and also put on a baseball cap, pulling the brim down to cover the two scars on his face.

When he came out, Henry led him up to the first floor, pushed open the main door, and walked out.

At this point, less than fifteen minutes had passed since Henry's arrival.

The Quarter Horse Henry had ridden was tied to a wooden post near the entrance.

Henry told the middle-aged man to wait by the horse, and he walked alone to the stable more than ten meters away from the apartment. He found 12 horses inside, three of which were already saddled.

He didn't find anyone else, perhaps some of the five thugs at the door earlier were part-time stable hands.

Henry pulled out a brown Quarter Horse with a saddle.

"Mr. Robert, you ride this horse. I'll take you to the intersection of Fifth Avenue and the Upper District. You can then go to the Astor Hotel alone to find Rachel; I've booked a room for her there."

"Okay, I'm so grateful. Can I know who you are?"

"Of course, I'm Henry. You'll know everything when you ask Rachel when you get back. I also need to go to the Whist Gang to talk to their boss, Mike. It's said he's the one who framed you. Do you have any thoughts?"

"I don't know, and I've never met Mike. I'm already incredibly grateful that you saved me."

"All right, get on the horse. We'll leave immediately."

Henry stood beside Robert, and after he got on the horse and Henry felt he was fine, he walked back to his own horse, mounted it, and led him towards the 59th Street intersection of Fifth Avenue.

At this moment, Alice and Rachel were in their room at the Astute Mansion Hotel, talking about Henry.

Rachel put down The New York Sun and The Sun Evening News from the past two days.

She let out a long breath and said in shock, "It's incredible, is Henry really that powerful? But I saw his moves just now, truly like a god or a demon. Those bandits were like puppets in front of him."

She paused, patted her ample chest, and continued to ask, "Alice, did you clearly see Henry's movements just now?"
