Carlos immediately spilled everything like beans from a bamboo tube.
"Robert was framed by Mazhar and us. He's currently in an apartment prison in our Lower District. We plan to use Rachel to threaten him into giving up the gold he's hidden."
"Those houses and the boat had just been transferred when Robert escaped, and we only recently recaptured him."
"The entire plan was proposed by Mazhar after he joined our Whist Gang. He knew Robert had a lot of gold hidden and he also took a liking to Rachel."
Henry asked coldly, "How do I get into that prison? What's its layout? Is there a password? Don't play any tricks; I'll wake them all up one by one and ask them later. If you dare to tell a single lie, you won't see tomorrow's sun."
Carlos immediately replied, "There's no password. That's our Big Boss Soro's territory. There are always over thirty gunmen there, all with pistols and rifles, and over 100 peripheral members, but they usually aren't there."
"Isn't your Big Boss Mike? What's with this Soro?"
"Mike is our overall boss. He has twelve Big Bosses under him, and Soro is one of them."
"Does Mike know about framing Robert?"
"I'm not sure, but he should normally know, because Robert also has a lot of connections, so the headquarters would probably have to get involved to seize his assets."
"Tell me what you know about the locations and layouts of the various Big Bosses' strongholds, including Mike's."
"Mike is on Fifth Street, there's a Phoenix Brothers Hotel there, through the back of the hotel…"
This Carlos was indeed a core member; he knew a lot of information and spoke continuously for several minutes.
After listening, Henry delivered an uppercut to his jaw, making him unconscious again.
Then Henry successively woke up Mazhar and the other two thugs. After comparing their statements, he found that Carlos had indeed not lied, so he had no desire to wake up the other thugs one by one for questioning.
A Swift Sword appeared out of thin air in Henry's hand. He stabbed each of the 12 individuals in the heart, sending them off cleanly and decisively.
After collecting all weapons and money bags, Henry put all 12 bodies into his space. Then Henry walked out of the room, locked the door with the key hanging on it, and left the apartment building.
Henry stood outside the carriage, giving instructions to Alice and Rachel, who had opened the carriage window.
"I already know where Mr. Robert is. I'm going to rescue him now. Alice, you and Rachel wait for me at the Astute Mansion Hotel."
"I'll tell Lyon to open another room. Rachel will stay there tonight. The farm has been discovered by the thugs, so it's not very safe anymore."
"Don't worry about me. After rescuing Mr. Robert, I might have him come to the hotel to find you first. I'll have a good talk with the Whist Gang, and I'll come back once it's settled."
"Lyon, you go with the two ladies to the Astute Mansion Hotel, help them open a room. Today, you'll follow Miss Alice's arrangements. Let's go."
"Yes, Mr. Bruce," Lyon immediately responded, and the coachman started the carriage towards the hotel.
Henry waited until the carriage was far away, then went around to an uninhabited area behind the apartment building.
He first changed his riding breeches to jeans, his work shoes to high boots, then put on a flat cap and a blue coarse linen shirt, took off his vest, and then put on a mustache and a full beard. Finally, he released a brown Quarter Horse, mounted it, and headed towards 18th Street in the Lower District.
More than twenty minutes later, Henry arrived at his destination—an old, four-story apartment building.
The outside of the apartment building was relatively clean, unlike other parts of the Lower District, which were full of sewage and swarming with flies.
The ground floors of other apartment buildings around this one were all shoe stores and grocery stores, with occasional customers coming and going.
The five thugs outside the apartment building had long noticed the tall Henry and were vigilantly staring at him.
Henry rode his horse to the entrance of the apartment building and said loudly, "Boss Carlos from Midtown sent me to report to Mr. Soro. Is he here?"
One of the bearded thugs replied, "That's right, wait." Then he turned and entered the apartment.
After two minutes, he walked out of the apartment and said, "Mr. Soro is waiting for you on the second floor. Get off your horse, raise your hands high, you'll be searched."
After Henry dismounted, he raised his hands high, and two thugs came up to search him.
The search was quickly completed, and the bearded thug said, "You come with me, the rest of us will watch your horse."
While using a gray bead to restore his health, Henry followed the thug into the apartment and noticed that the doors of the six rooms on the first floor were all open, allowing him to see people playing cards in two of the rooms.
On the second floor, he walked to the innermost room, where there were four burly white men at the door.
They searched Henry again, and after finding no issues, they prepared to push open the wooden door and turned to motion for Henry to enter.
Two daggers appeared out of thin air in Henry's hands, and he immediately swung them at high speed.
"Whoosh, whoosh…" The blades swiftly cut across the necks of the leading thug and the four guards.
"Thud, thud, thud, thud, thud!" The daggers rapidly and repeatedly stabbed into the hearts of several people before being pulled out.
Henry waited quietly for half a minute.
Once four new white beads and one gray bead appeared in the release bar, he stored all these people in his space, then pushed open the wooden door and entered the room.
Behind a large office desk, a slightly middle-aged, portly white man was looking up.
Henry closed the door. A double-action revolver appeared out of thin air in his right hand, its dark muzzle pointed at the middle-aged man.
"Soro? Hands up."
Soro asked with a bewildered expression, "Who are you? How did you get in?"
Henry waved his left hand, and a 15-centimeter skill Flying Dagger instantly embedded itself in Soro's right shoulder joint.
"Ouch…" Soro cried out in pain.
"I ask, you answer. Hesitate again, and the skill Flying Dagger will pierce your throat," Henry said coldly.
Soro endured the severe pain, nodding while reaching his left hand to press the alarm switch under the table.
"Thud!" A skill Flying Dagger also embedded itself in Soro's left shoulder joint. In extreme pain, both of his hands dropped limply.
Henry took a few steps forward, and the revolver in his right hand transformed into a Swift Sword, its sharp tip resting coldly against Soro's neck.
"Try any more tricks, and this sword will pierce your throat, go through your brain, and skewer you. Where is Robert? How many people are guarding him? What weapons do they have?"
"He's in the prison on the basement floor. There are three guards, with pistols and machetes." Feeling the chilling sword tip, Soro became concise.
"How many guards are on the first floor? What weapons?"
"Over twenty. They rotate shifts for missions, using pistols and machetes."
"What about the third and fourth floors? How many people?"
"They've all come down during the day. Only a dozen or so night shift workers are sleeping."
