In Emiya's view, the leveling system of this world was far more advanced than the one in DanMachi.

Aqua and Kazuma Sato did the same.
Once they finished, the counter attendant, Luna, guided them to touch their adventurer cards.

Muscle strength.

Agility.
Dexterity.
Intelligence.
Luck.
Based on these values, they could choose a class.
Emiya's mental stat was higher than average.
But his muscle strength, vitality, magic power, and other attributes were all average.
Kazuma Sato was similar.

"I'll be an adventurer after all."
Luna then turned her attention to Emiya. "Mr. Emiya, since your mental stat is higher than average, you could specialize in a magic-oriented class-"
"No," Emiya cut her off before she finished. "I'll be an adventurer as well."
"Huh?" Luna froze. "Why? With your mental stat, choosing Adventurer would be a waste."
She tried her best to persuade him.
"That's right, that's right!" Aqua nodded vigorously. "Adventurer is the most basic class. Anyone with even a bit of talent wouldn't pick that useless class!"
She even took the chance to jab at Kazuma again.
Kazuma Sato felt an intense urge to punch someone.
Emiya smiled and explained calmly.
"If I'm not mistaken, Adventurers can learn and use skills from all classes."
That was the point Emiya valued most.
But Aqua immediately poured cold water on it.
"That's true, but learning skills costs a ton of points. You also don't get class bonuses. Even if you use the same skill, it won't compare to a proper class. That's a classic jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none situation."
Kazuma couldn't help but jump in. "What are you two even saying? This is a man's choice! Since Emiya-san has decided, as his teammates, we should support him, right?"
Emiya strongly suspected that Kazuma's real motive was dragging him down together.

"Don't worry. I've got my own plans," he said. "I'm the man who'll become the Adventure King."
Kazuma immediately complained. "Don't just steal Luffy's famous line!"
Luna didn't understand the reference and could only give an awkward but polite smile.
When it was Aqua's turn, Luna cried out in surprise again.
Aside from below-average intelligence and rock-bottom luck, all of Aqua's other stats were far above average.
Her magic power, in particular, was absurdly high.
She could choose from a wide range of classes.
Mage.
The strongest defensive class, Crusader.
The strongest offensive class, Sword Master.
The advanced priest class, Archpriest.
And many others.
As expected of a useless goddess.
After confirming that the "Goddess" class didn't exist, Aqua finally chose the all-purpose, high-tier class capable of healing, support, and even charging the front lines.

With that, a strange team was formed in the beginner town.
Two basic Adventurers.
One top-tier Archpriest.
A party supposedly destined to defeat the Demon King.

He had no interest in defeating the Demon King.
He just wanted to travel this world and enjoy unfamiliar scenery.

After all, they were the true hero candidates.

"So what now?" Kazuma said eagerly. "According to game logic, since we're adventurers, we should accept a quest. Preferably a herb-gathering one."
Having just registered, he was itching to act.
Unfortunately, this was Axel.
There were no easy quests like herb gathering or beginner monster hunting.
The nearby forest had been cleared long ago.
With no monsters, it became safe.
So no one paid for gathering quests.
Even children could play outside town without worry.
That was the kind of peaceful place Axel was.
In the original timeline, without Emiya, Kazuma and Aqua didn't even have basic equipment.
They couldn't deal with low-level monsters.
In the end, they worked as construction laborers.
They earned pitiful wages.
They lived in a filthy horse stable.
Only weeks later did they finally buy a shortsword and begin a real adventure.
But this time, Emiya was here.
He had no intention of letting the goddess who gave him a powerful ability live in a stable.
At the same time, he rejected Kazuma's idea of rushing into quests.
"What we need to do first," Emiya said, "is find a place to stay. Sleeping on the street tonight isn't an option."
"I see." Kazuma clapped his hands. "That's definitely important. Alright, let's go find somewhere to stay."
