Reina lumbers back to his apartment , from the dinner at HAXA restaurant , steps into the room, that looked like walking into a thick silent pool, the abyss of darkness was absolute , punctured only by faintest hint of the moonlight filtering trough a grimy window pane , which drew strange enlogated shadows, swallowing every detail ,his eyes struggles to adjust, only to see dim shapes .
The silence was loud , broken by his own ragged breathing and the distance hum of the house ,His hands brushs against a cold , smooth wall as he walks forward , in search of the socket , but he bumps into the charging table , and he yelped and cries out , a low guttaral roar from his throat, a sound of frustration and the stings of his hit . His entrance fills the room with an expectant hush .
He slowly seats on the cold cement floor , leaning against the cold , smooth wall holding his bursted knees , which were bleeding , a red watery fluid , flowing down to his feets .
" Is this some kind of punishment ? For being a liar ? For being a manipulative rabbit ? How cruel can nature be , always finding new ways to hurt me ? If not mentally , then it's fucking physical?Reina mummers angryly .
Reina remembers how nature played with his emotions six - months - ago . He blames his bad luck energy , that always brings calamity to his love life .
He clearly remembers how he got rejected by his first love " Arthur Matt" , this made him fall into depression for a few months , he clearly remembers lying in the hospital bed , how the doctor injected medicine and the nurse, who took care of his personal hygiene , it felt like the wind had being knocked out of him, but he was pretending like it hasn't . His knees felt weak , legs wobby and he would take deep breath to avoid crying .
As days pass by , the his fearfull face , start to fade away , into a look of deep sadness , a sadness that gives him a lump in the back of his throat , and tears rolls no matter how hard he tries not to . He holds his hands to avoid trembling , his shoulder softness and the tightness in his face is now sorrow .
He clearly remembers how his best friend , "Michael Liam " stood beside him , offering a sympathetic shoulder to lean , he was his go - to - shoulder , a true support system in his life . His journey to recovery was quite difficult .
REINA FIRST YEAR , FIRST SEMESTER
Reina strode into Washing university , one of the toppest university , with enormously luxurious modern building , with acceptable prestige and history, along with the faculty and students they serve . He strutted confidently , enrolling in engineering courses .
After two months , Washing university held a basketball competition , the flat court was filled with players of washing , led by Arthur the team captain .The cheerleaders swayed their short skirt left to right , while the a crowd of spectators cheered loudly .
" Arthur ..... Arthur we trust you."
" Arthur .....we love ",
" Arthur you are so cute and handsome ".
Sounds of support filled the room .
Reina , an introverted daydreamer who preferred to spend his time alone , finding solace in their thoughts and a sense of comfort in their quietness of their own company ,but he was coerced by Michael into attending the match . He sluggishly walks into the pitch , bored and giving empty stares , and sits at the farthest bench eyes downcasted on his phone , with a big hoodie covering his face .
The more the people screamed Arthur's name , the more they caught Aiden attention , the shly introvert rabbit , stretches his neck , higher than others , eyes pierced on the pitch , " who the heck is Arthur ", he thought to himself. But he couldn't differentiate the handsome faces .
He turns to Michael , while patting his back .
" Who is Arthur ",
Michael's arm shot out , his index finger extending to point directly to a man in a jersey number three , with a raised chin signaling confidence .
Reina's eyes pop out as he saw a tall lanky gigantic figure , an agile player who was a smooth shooter, sprinting past defenders , cutting sharply ,his hands dribbling with precision , locking down his opponents and he gave a powerful jump shot score, and referee whistled signaling end of the match .
" Goal.....",cheers filled the room to celebrate the victory , his paint dominance presence filled the whole pitch as he was carried by the other players , celebrating their victory .
The moment Reina's eyes meets Arthur he fell in love instantly ,as days passed by his mind were on him , he would secretly watch the basket ball practice , just to see Arthur , a day won't pass by without him settling his eyes on him . To him , just a single peck was more than enough .
His first time love , an innocent simple crush for his senior , turned out to be an obsession . An obsession that can't be fulfilled by mere glances led Reina into joining the basketball game .
Reina was one of the basket ball players , back in his senior school , but he lost the interest in playing at grade twelve , he had skills in shooting but lost the thrill in plai .
But now , Reina has both the skills and thrill to play , to see Arthur , even if it's from a far end . A simple obsession turned into greedy desire , he wanted more , his attention , his hugs , his kisses and him saying cute names .
He began to seek attention , showcasing his shooting skills , in order to make Arthur walks towards him first, he knew Arthur was looking for a rebound partner , and he seized the opportunity quite well. After a few days , Reina bumps into Arthur at the basket ball entrance , his strong muscles , hits Reina and he fell on Arthur hands aimlessly .
" Am sorry it's my fault , for not watching my way ", Reina apologized in a low voice .
" You don't need to apologize , I also not keen ,infact I was on my way to me ", Arthur said trying to make this comfortable.
Reina points to himself , hands trembling aimlessly , " me....me...you ....mean ...me ",his voice stuttered .
" Yes you , I have being observing you keenly , and I come in peace . I want to offer you a deal ,I have searching for someone who complete me and I think I have finally met him".
" How is that connected to me ",Reina asks in a confused way .
" Because the person is standing Infront of me , Reina will you be my rebound partner ?
Reina felt his body tickle , while his stomach felt watery . Finally his hard work had being paid .
" You.....mean ....me ", he asks again , inorder to get his confirmation .
Arthur noods repeatedly , his hands fixed on Reina's shoulder , eyes glued on him ," yes you Reina Carter ."
After receiving his confirmation for the second time , how could he say no ? How could he not agree ? How could he let the only chance he had to seduce Arthur pass ? Reina wasn't a fool , he knew want he wanted , " Arthur to be his boyfriend ",
He let out a high pitched voice of " Yes ", with a big smile running across his teeth . A voice that declared victory .
