Ellie raised the knife, her eyes glinting with madness. "Finally… you'll die," she hissed, leaning toward Elise. "And Davon… he'll be all mine, forever."
Elise's heart raced, panic gripping her chest. She tried to pull back, but the ropes cut into her wrists, holding her tightly in place.
"Ellie! Stop!" Silas shouted, his voice sharp and urgent. "I said don't touch her!"
Ellie ignored him completely. She leaned closer, pressing the knife dangerously toward Elise. "You can't escape this," she whispered, a cruel smile spreading across her face.
Then, in a sudden, swift motion, a blade pierced Ellie's side. Her eyes widened in shock, blood spilling down as she let out a strangled scream. She collapsed to the floor, her attack stopped before it could reach Elise.
Elise froze, trembling violently. Her chest heaved with sobs as the terror and shock of the moment crashed over her. She curled into herself, shaking uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face.
