Carrying three unconscious hunters through the front gate and dropping them at the Hunter's Guild would have gotten the job done. But simply getting the job done wasn't enough for my plan to work.
No, I needed to make this rescue mission much more dramatic.
Besides, everyone would be suspicious if I returned too quickly, considering how far I had traveled from the settlement.
Even in this world, teleportation, or blinking, was still rare, at least based on my own observations. Otherwise, I would have noticed multiple spatial disruptions throughout the settlement already.
It wasn't really that strange. Alexa and Hai-Yen only gained the ability to teleport because of that imprisoned godlike demoness, while I got mine from the system. An ability like that was hard to come by.
