Chapter 245: Raya is pregnant?
"I am not crazy, what do you mean 'bite'?" Raya snapped, her head jerking up as she shot Derek a withering glare.
Derek didn't even flinch. He simply arched one brow, the ghost of a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth as he knelt beside the couch with his medical kit open.
"Crazy people usually open with that exact line," he drawled, voice dripping with dry amusement. "It's practically a diagnostic criterion."
Raya's irritation flared hotter. She whipped her gaze toward Adrian, who stood a few feet away like a silent sentinel, arms crossed over his broad chest.
"Can I please get tested somewhere else?" she asked, her tone edged with desperation. "Anywhere else. I don't want him touching me."
Derek let out a theatrical scoff. "Oh, trust me, princess, the feeling is mutual. I don't particularly enjoy touching difficult patients either."
