"Whose child is it?"
Adrian's voice was unnervingly calm, too calm, as he stared straight into Raya's eyes. The question dropped between them like a stone into still water, sending ripples of shock through the room.
"Wait…" Derek suddenly blurted, his gaze darting frantically between the two of them. "You cheated on my cousin?"
Raya whipped her head toward him, brows knitting in disbelief and rising anger. "What do you mean 'whose child is it'?" she demanded, turning back to Adrian, her voice tightening with every syllable. "You're seriously asking me that?"
Adrian didn't flinch. His dark eyes remained locked on hers, steady and unyielding. "I just want to know if the child is mine," he replied, his tone measured, almost clinical, as if he were discussing a business deal rather than the possibility of their future.
For a heartbeat, Raya could only stare at him, stunned into silence.
