Chapter 20 - 20: Roar of the Ice Dragon

Lightning Spear

Summon a Lightning Spear and hurl it straight forward.

The straight trajectory and indestructible power made the Lightning Spear Robb's favorite spell; he had used this incantation to defeat countless powerful enemies.

In the world of a song of ice and fire, although magic was still accepted and believed by people, these strange abilities had long since faded into obscurity, unknown to ordinary people.

When the soldiers on the battlefield saw that Robb could control lightning, manipulating this most powerful and mysterious natural force with every gesture, waves of emotion surged in everyone's hearts.

A miracle!

The Wolf Cavalry were fine; they had previously witnessed Robb using a blade made of red lightning to execute criminals, but the Lannister army was seeing this kind of scene for the first time.

They were dumbfounded, many of them still hadn't recovered even after Robb had already thrown the Lightning Spear.

"Protect the commander!"

"Lord Jaime!"

"Block it!"

"Ugh..."

This Lightning Spear from Robb was undoubtedly aimed at Jaime; to catch the bandit, first catch the king. As long as Jaime fell, more than half of this battle would be won.

But the Lannister retainers and knights reacted quickly. Without knowing the power of this move, they fearlessly stood in front of Jaime one by one.

The Lightning Spear's powerful piercing ability went straight through these people, chilling them to the bone, and then directly struck Jaime's helmet, knocking it to the ground and revealing his golden hair.

What a pity...

Robb shook his head; someone was actually willing to use their body to block his incantation.

Jaime watched as four knights in front of him fell to the ground to save him, feeling both shocked and furious, not knowing what kind of evil magic the other party was using.

But soon, he reacted and shouted loudly to his soldiers, "Don't be afraid! He was just putting on a show. That little brat needs a few seconds to cast this evil magic. Let's charge up and cut him down!"

To motivate his subordinates, Jaime added many conditions: "Lannister, always pays his debts! Five hundred gold dragons for Robb's head, we mean what we say!"

Under the temptation of massive gold coins, the Lannister army's morale recovered significantly. For humans, as long as there is enough profit, life is not an issue.

Three thousand cavalry against less than three hundred cavalry, the side with the numerical advantage had high morale.

Strangely, the side with fewer people was also full of fighting spirit. This would be a bloody battle.

"Charge! Don't give that little wizard time to cast spells! Kill them all!"

Jaime led the charge, roaring.

But he was quickly surpassed by the even more greedy Lannister soldiers; the power of five hundred gold dragons far exceeded everyone's imagination.

Three thousand cavalry charging towards the same target created a momentum terrifying enough to determine a person's life and death.

The Wolf Cavalry's arms, gripping their long spears, also trembled slightly. This was their first time participating in such a battle, and their first official campaign as Wolf Cavalry.

Fear, dread, excitement, bloodlust, nausea...

All kinds of emotions intertwined, finally suppressed by the emotion called reason, leaving the mind blank.

Looking down at the enemy, Robb saw three thousand greedy eyes staring fiercely at him.

His heart remained undisturbed; he had seen more insane gazes than this.

However, if he were to directly let his less than three hundred Wolf Cavalry engage with these three thousand men, even if they won, it would be a Pyrrhic victory, with probably only a few people left in the end. This was not the outcome Robb wanted.

Therefore, Robb decided to slightly reveal his true strength and see how large-scale a battle he could completely control.

Robb suddenly stood on his horse, looking down at all the Lannister soldiers who were about to charge towards him.

Then, all the soldiers on the battlefield witnessed a scene they would never forget.

"What... what in the world is that?!"

Under the pure white moonlight, the slightly stuffy weather suddenly turned cold, and white became the dominant color at some unknown point.

Robb leaped up on his horse, red glowing marks erupted from his hands, and then a fantastical blue rune appeared above his head.

Then, a phantom of a giant dragon's head appeared above Robb's head!

This phantom of the giant dragon completely covered Robb's head, making Robb look like a fantastical creature with a dragon's head and a human body!

This dragon head phantom was entirely white, and if one were to carefully examine its pure white horns and scales under sunlight, they would discover that the white was actually frost covering black dragon scales.

The giant dragon phantom opened its mouth, and cold elements condensed within it, gradually forming a blizzard.

The next second, icy dragon's breath erupted from the dragon's mouth!

Winter has come!

Borealis's Mist

Transform into a dragon and spew Borealis's Mist from the air.

Borealis was originally a giant dragon living on a high plateau snowy mountain. Influenced by its environment, its dragon's breath transformed into a unique icy mist dragon's breath. Besides causing massive damage, it could also freeze opponents.

It just so happened that our Tarnished comrade had mastered a powerful and mysterious secret art, and also had a peculiar habit of collecting things. Thus, the Tarnished could learn the dragon's breath spells it used in life by killing giant dragons and consuming their hearts.

"Ahhh! So cold!"

"A dragon! I saw a dragon! Robb turned into a giant dragon, are my eyes playing tricks on me?"

"Run!"

"Is it witchcraft? I just saw his strange appearance!"

Jaime panicked: "No one is allowed to run! Kill Robb first! Overseer squad!"

In just half a minute, the vanguard of the Lannister army instantly lost one or two hundred men, either frozen to death or completely incapacitated.

There were also a dozen frozen corpses lying at the very front.

Jaime had, by a twist of fate, ended up in the middle-rear flank of the army, fortunately not directly frozen into an ice pop by Robb. Otherwise, Jaime would have another anecdote worth recounting for posterity.

On the hillside, after casting the spell, Robb felt the horse under him trembling uncontrollably. It probably sensed the bloodline suppression of the dragon race, tears streamed down its face, and its body was on the verge of kneeling to the ground.

Even Grey Wind, the Direwolf, who was usually fearless and arrogant, tucked his tail between his legs during Robb's transformation, seemingly sensing something terrifying.

Robb sensed his own body: "Although there's no blue bar in real life, these spells consume my mental energy. There are no Flasks of Cerulean Tears here to help me recover quickly, I can only recover by resting."

"I can't cast this high-level spell again for a short time."

After summarizing his physical condition, Robb turned to see that the Lannister army, which had been subjected to the icy breath, was already in disarray, their formation difficult to maintain.

The lords, fighting independently, had poor discipline and simply couldn't keep up with Robb's highly centralized combat style.
