Vedant read all 548 pages, which contained vital information about the place. Even after finishing, he felt like many mysteries were yet to be unraveled. It was 3 a.m. when he finally finished reading, so he went to the canteen to get some food. The canteen had limited hours, closing at midnight, but there were vending machines with food, drinks, and other items. There, he saw his teacher eating.
"You should go to sleep; it's so late," he said, sounding concerned and respectful.
"I could say the same," she replied.
Vedant bought a plate of paneer curry and rice from a vending machine and sat at her table.
"Well, do you mind if I sit here?" he asked.
"Of course, I mind," she answered with a smirk. "But you can sit here."
It turned out she was busy researching the rune that Ron had found. She was in charge of the investigation.
"You have a lot of work. That must be hard," he said, his eyes showing respect.
"Yes, I do," she replied. "But you should sleep early. It's not good for your health. Sleep after you eat; you have to go to the rune investigation, too."
Vedant had been chosen for the investigation because of his quick thinking and intelligence. After all, he had defeated a giant beast with nothing but his mind.
After a little more chitchat, they finished their food and went to their rooms. Vedant fell asleep immediately.
