Confused about everything, Auren looked at himself to see the night's aftermath. He instantly covered himself with the cloth and dared not say anything to the knight.
Eivan smiled, but Auren didn't see it, and then he went to the door, saying, "I'll be waiting downstairs and make the knights leave without us. You don't need to worry."
Auren nodded to what he said and let a long sigh before wondering what had happened to him.
"Did I really...?" He didn't continue what he had to say, he felt how his lower back hurts, and thankfully, he is not sticky, unlike how his former roommate is when he cleaned him after that roommate's guiding session with his Esper.
After some minutes of complete body scanning, Auren decided to put some clothes on and go down. He saw the knight and Lyore facing each other. It looks like they stopped their argument when he went down. Auren knew it was an argument because that was the only time he saw Lyore's sour expression, and his hands were clenched enough to punch someone.
Thankfully, he didn't.
Auren looked at Lyore, and when he did, Lyore averted his eyes from him, making Auren's heart feel a pang of pain like a fencing sword launched at the centre of his heart. Auren pressed his lips together and ran towards the bathroom to bathe.
"Auren I--" Lyore didn't have the time to say something because Auren just slammed the door.
"If you'll excuse us. We must depart after Auren's bath." That's the only thing Auren heard before he started bathing.
After a while, Auren got out. His hair was drenched in water, and he wiped it off with a small towel, making the scene suggestive.
Both men gulped from that, but Knight Eivan masked it with a slight cough, making Auren stop and look at him. "If you please." Eivan gestures to come out of the house.
Even if Auren is pissed by the sudden summons, he continues to oblige; it was the king's order after all.
"Auren, can we talk, please?" Lyore tried to stop him.
Auren spins around to talk to Lyore. He knew he needed his answer. He needs clarity on what happened last night and whether he was bedded. He hopes Lyore is the one. But before he even had the time to look at Lyore, Eivan stood forward and covered Auren from him.
"I'm sorry, the king waited long enough," Eivan said with a warning tone, making Auren slightly cautious, and walked away from the scene.
Eivan guided Auren to the carriage and sat him.
"Do you need anything?" The knight asked.
Auren scoffed. He doesn't want to go with him to have an audience with the king, specifically if it's about being his personal guide.
Without interest in the conversation, Auren looked out the carriage window and put his chin on his palm while leaning on it. "Your name, perhaps?" He blunts, shocking the knight briefly, and hides his smile with another cough.
"Eivan Lancaster, captain of the King's Knights. And if you desire, I could be your personal knight."
Auren frowned. He wanted to ask why he would want that. But he didn't bother to ask those questions. He already anticipated that he would be offered a job at most as a guide and a slave guiding them at the least.
He didn't like either, so he sighed and shut his eyes to rest.
"I would not pester you. We will arrive shortly, but you can rest if you like. I will wake you up by then."
Auren didn't speak another word. He is still indifferent to the guy he just met. He couldn't look at the handsome, alluring knight because he might have fallen for this one, too. And he knew that having those didn't turn out well. So Auren swore to himself that he would never look at other handsome men again.
After a long ride, they finally arrive at the palace. The butler immediately took them to the drawing room and served them tea.
Neither of them said anything. Eivan was standing right at the door while looking in Auren's direction. Auren didn't even have a slight fright when the door opened and the king, Mirenor, entered. He didn't do anything for a few seconds but stared at Auren. After doing so, he sat across from him, and the butler served him tea.
"Greetings." He started, but Auren didn't even look at him. "I need to know if this is to your liking." Again, Auren didn't answer, so the king threw the cup across and almost hit Auren.
He stood up, pulled the sword from his waist, and faced the butler. He almost swung it at the butler's head but stopped when Auren shouted, "Stop! What do you think you're doing?!"
The king still looks at the butler before saying, "Our only guide didn't like it, so why must the thing that serves it keep its head?"
By that moment, Auren found out that the king wasn't merciful. His kindness to people is only a facade. He is cruel, like all the espers he encountered in his life. Truly, money can make anyone more cruel. For them, this is just a game, not life. A person will be an object by their standard. And that makes Auren indifferent to the person in front of him.
"He is your butler!" Auren tried to reason out.
"And so? He is my property; if my guest isn't satisfied with something, I could always replace them."
Cold ran through Auren's blood as he heard that statement. Now he knows who he is dealing with, and having this kind of man near him is dangerous enough, and angering him will be more than that.
"W-What do you want?" Auren held the hem of his shirt while averting his eyes from the king. He knew this time he couldn't do anything against him.
"The chancellor is all healed up, but I'm not. Heck, Eivan is also healed, and am I? No! Who do you think I am, huh? Tell me."
Auren gasps as the king walks through when the knight is there and suddenly punches him in the gut. Eivan winces in pain but keeps his posture after a while.
"I'm... Sorry." Auren said defiantly. "Please forgive me, Your Majesty. Can I help you?"
"Of course, our dear guide. You need to guide us, especially me. If you just let me have some, I could..." The king tried to hold Auren's cheeks, but Auren turned his head so he wouldn't reach him. "You really don't know where to stand, don't you? Are you really wasting my patience?" He roared, making Auren tremble.
"I-I..." Auren backed away, but the king just held his waist and pulled him to a kiss, making Auren fear him more. After a while, he felt an automatic guiding was being made. At that moment, Auren knew what the king was. He could reverse guide, and having this ability will be more painful for Auren than having a guiding session with someone with the lowest compatibility rate.
For most of those few minutes, Auren finally closed his eyes, and a tear ran down from one of his eyes. It hurts so bad he can't even feel his toes.
"Your majesty!" The chancellor burst open the door and shouted out while the one next to him, the guy with many knives from the last battle, ran to them and pulled Auren away from the king.
"Can't you see he's in pain!?" This guy got slammed down on the floor when he pulled Auren away, but despite the pain, he still carefully held Auren in his arms and tried to wake him up. "Are you alright?" He asked, but Auren buried his face on this man's chest. The man stiffened when he felt Auren's breath through his thin vest and flushed on his cheeks. His emotions can be noticed.
"What did I..." The king snapped out of the bliss of joy from the session, and the fear was painted on his face. But it's only been noticeable briefly before he masked it away.
Auren tried to look at the king but failed. He was weak and wanted to rest and close his eyes, but before he could, the king said, "From here on out, you'll guide us. Or else, you'll know what I can do."
After warning Auren with those words, this is the only time the knight runs to Auren's side. "Call the physician at once!" He shouted out, making the butler run out.
He took Auren from the guy holding him and walked away from them.
"Where are you taking him?" The chancellor asked him. "He needs to rest and take a physical exam."
"You of all people knew what happened when he healed us. So you should know this isn't the right time and place for an argument. He needs a place to rest, and if you won't point me to where he could rest, I will take him to my manor."
The chancellor bit his lips when he heard that. He knew what Eivan was talking about. Auren needs more sexual intercourse than that kind of kiss from the king after guiding, but after giving such healing, he might not be in good condition to continue.
"Follow me. But who would need this more?" The chancellor was talking about the immense powers that Auren was giving off while he was held by the knight. He held Auren's hand to help and take some of Auren's sipping off guiding.
"I..." The guy with the vest started. "I need it." He said shyly, not looking in their direction.
"Fine. Let's go." The knight said.
"I just hope it's enough." The Chancellor added.
They make their way to the next most oversized room. It was the queen's bedroom. It was supposed to be for the next queen to reside, but for some reason, the men knew that Auren had to be in this place. They felt that he was more important than proper etiquette and such.
After laying him down, the man with the vest sat on the edge and hesitated to hold Auren's hand.
"What are you waiting for?" The knight was immensely unwell after too much guiding. After a while, he ran to the balcony and puked his guts out.
The chancellor and the man can hear him puking, so they stay silent. But after a while, the chancellor nudged the arm of the one I vested for him to start. And the guy mimicked a child and glared at the chancellor, then looked at Auren's face. It was still in so much pain, and he was sweating. He wanted to ease Auren's pain, but he didn't know if it was safe for them if he could accept his guidance.
He didn't show his awakened powers to anyone, even his most trusted friend; the chancellor didn't know his true powers. They know that he could accurately throw away his knives on the enemy or somewhere he wanted it to be. So the guy took a deep breath for the last time and kissed Auren's cheek.
The guiding naturally flows in the guy, and with that first time having this, he could feel light-headedness. He knew he wanted more. He wants to touch Auren, and he did. He pulled Auren's shirt , slid his hand in, and searched for his chest. He found Auren's nipples and slightly pinched them.
Auren groans, making the man lose control and kissing Auren directly in the lips. It was just a peck, and for some reason, the guy pulled out before he could even go dipper. Auren opened his eyes, and finally, he was stable.
"What happened? Did I--"
"You healed me. That's all. You need it. I need it..." the guy interrupted. "Thank you. I'm sorry for kissing you. It was just more... ahem. Arousing."
The guy blushed when he said that making Auren look confused and startled when he heard a puking sound in his right where the balcony was.
"Oh, that's Eivan puking after taking more than he need from your healing." The chancellor explained.
"You're also not feeling well, are you?" Auren asked, seeing the chancellor's pale face.
"I just need to hold your hand this time. I'm too cured to have so much of your healing." He answered.
"It's not healing. As I said before, it was guiding. I just guide your powers to be stable and not all over the place. I... don't have to explain myself." Auren avert his eyes from him.
This is a conversation that could be used against him, and he knew these people beside him didn't have his back in the slightest.
The chancellor wants to ask something to Auren. Luckily, the physician arrived. It was the same physician who took care of Lyore before. And having him made Auren look away. He didn't need scolding or remours, not this time. He still feels weak after that reverse guiding.
"If you'll excuse me." The pysician said and started his thing.
After the check-up, they didn't find any physical abnormality in Auren's body. Just a few bruses on his arms and waist made by the king. So he just gave Auren some pain killers and left them.
The chancellor and the guy in the vest take the knight away from the room, making Auren alone in that place.
That moment of silence made him accept the fact that this would be his life. A life in the palace without Lyore or anyone he trusts. Just being a doll and guiding the bastards to fulfil their desire.
Lukily, this time, he's not a virgin anymore.
