Chapter 106 - Chapter 106 Preparation

The Sky around Mondstadt City remained overcast; Stormterror's influence had not been completely eliminated, but fortunately, the intensity and number of storms had significantly decreased, allowing everyone to breathe a sigh of relief.

In a house within Mondstadt's streets, Yu Jin had pieced all the beds in the room together to form a large platform.

On this platform were various strange materials.

There were golden succulent flowers, slightly wiggling silver fragments, budding flowers on emerald moss, and red leaves with veins pulsating like blood vessels.

These materials covered Yu Jin's yard, and he himself was meticulously reading a book titled "Perfumery Recipes."

After a night of contemplation, Yu Jin felt that besides the Knights of Favonius, the Mondstadt Adventurers' Guild also needed some training.

Think about what kind of commissions the Adventurers' Guild usually takes? Catching cats and dogs, clearing weeds—Adventurers were doing all sorts of odd jobs. How could they improve their strength this way?

So Yu Jin thought this Dragon Scourge was a good opportunity, a chance to train the younger generation. Only by fighting strong enemies could one improve themselves!

But before that, Yu Jin had to make some preparations. He couldn't just wave his hand and tell people to charge at Stormterror, could he?

Considering the power gap between Stormterror and the Mondstadt Adventurers, Yu Jin felt that wouldn't be training, it would be suicide.

So how could he ensure the safety of everyone in the Guild? By stacking buffs like crazy, of course! As long as my buffs are longer than my HP bar, I'm invincible!

Thus, the perfumer, a class almost born for applying buffs, became Yu Jin's first choice.

He didn't have many perfumery potions stored, and many had been given to Ellin and others who needed them. So, to conserve, he could only make the potions himself.

"One serving of Atlass Flower." Yu Jin held the book in one hand and, with the other, took a golden glowing flower from the platform made of pieced-together beds.

The Atlass Flower was very different from ordinary flowers; it glowed golden all over. Its petals extended from the pistil, forming an overall oblate spheroid shape.

Yu Jin threw the Atlass Flower into a mortar, then held the pestle with one hand and quickly began pounding. The pollen contained within the Atlass Flower splattered as Yu Jin pounded it, filling the entire yard with a golden glow.

Yu Jin looked around and thought that the Atlass Flower was truly the nemesis of pollen allergy sufferers; the bulk of the flower was pollen.

"The Silver Teardrop Shell and Cave Moss Flower Bud should be ground into powder together and mixed into the Atlass Flower." Yu Jin then took out a slightly flowing silver fragment and a moss about to bloom.

With a movement of his palm, both turned into fine dust. He placed the silver dust into the mortar.

The mortar immediately underwent a peculiar change; the Atlass Flower pollen no longer floated, it began to combine with the silver dust, forming a new powder.

It seems the Atlass Flower can activate the vitality of various substances, no wonder every perfumery potion requires it.

"Then, the sap of the Arteria Leaf!" Yu Jin squeezed his palm, and the blood-red Arteria Leaf flowed with red sap, like fresh blood.

A sweet scent emanated from the Arteria Leaf's sap; just a whiff was enough to make one's blood pump and spirits soar.

As a rare medicinal herb from The Lands Between, the Arteria Leaf can maximize a person's potential, which is why it appears in many potions.

"Finally, dry it!" Yu Jin picked up the mortar with one hand, and with the other, ignited a flame in his palm, quickly drying the reddish liquid potion in the mortar.

Soon, no more red smoke emerged from the mortar, indicating that the drying was complete. Yu Jin looked at the potion inside the mortar.

Hmm, very good. The colorful but overall grayish-white powder lay quietly within the mortar.

Yu Jin picked up a perfumer's bottle and collected the powder. He held the slender neck of the perfumer's bottle, bringing its round, bulging body before his eyes.

Inside the glass perfumer's bottle, the powder was evenly spread. Even though it was somewhat dim now, it still couldn't obscure the faint glow within the perfumer's bottle.

Invigorating Aroma — a technique possessed by perfumers who participated in the Shattering War, one of the tools made using a perfumer's bottle.

It consumes Focus to increase the ATK of oneself and nearby allies, and for one time only, greatly reduces DMG taken.

"Invigorating Aroma" has a very powerful support effect; once accustomed to it, it can turn one into a suicide squad. Because of this, perfumers are often surrounded by excellent soldiers.

"Hehe, it seems I really have a Talent for being a perfumer." Yu Jin chuckled a few times, looking at the Invigorating Aroma, which was exactly as he remembered it.

Then Yu Jin opened the stopper, held the bottle's body, and frantically waved his hand, scattering all the Invigorating Aroma from the bottle.

The originally grayish-white potion, after vigorous shaking, transformed into brilliant golden light the moment it exited the bottle's mouth.

Golden light filled Yu Jin's yard, accompanying the scattering of the Invigorating Aroma. Yu Jin could feel his body becoming more active, and not only that, a faint, glass-like protective shield appeared around him.

Yu Jin nodded with relief upon seeing the protective shield appear. The ATK-boosting effect of Invigorating Aroma was just a bonus; what Yu Jin truly valued was the protective shield it formed.

A protective shield formed by a qualified Invigorating Aroma could absorb at least ninety percent of the DMG!

"However, the range of the small perfumer's bottle seems a bit small." Yu Jin looked at the potion, which couldn't even cover his own yard, and suddenly felt a bit troubled.

When fighting Stormterror, the larger the potion's range, the better. Otherwise, he would just scatter it, and a gust of wind would blow it away, making his efforts futile.

"Hmm, what should I do?" Yu Jin stroked his chin, lost in thought.

"I've got it!" Yu Jin clapped his hands together, having found a solution.

He quickly left his house and ran along the street all the way to Mondstadt Square. Because a storm had struck yesterday, there weren't many people in Mondstadt Square now.

Everyone had gone back to tidy up their belongings that had been blown away.

Yu Jin ran all the way to the alchemy table in Mondstadt Square. This was his first time coming here; before, he had only briefly greeted Timaeus.

"Timaeus... huh? Who are you?" Yu Jin stopped his greeting. He found that the perpetually unchanging Timaeus at the alchemy table had been replaced!

Replaced by a green-haired, beast-eared Damselette. "Why is it another beast-girl?" This was Yu Jin's first thought upon seeing Sucrose.

It seemed like there were significantly more people with animal features in Mondstadt than in other nations. He hadn't seen any in Liyue, and those in Inazuma were literally fox spirits.

Could beast-girls or beast-men be a specialty of Mondstadt?

"I... I am Sucrose, and like Timaeus, I am an assistant to Mr. Albedo." Sucrose's face flushed after just a few sentences.

"Ah, Sucrose, hello. I am Yu Jin." Yu Jin waved at Sucrose. It didn't matter that Timaeus wasn't here; the favor he was asking wasn't very difficult anyway.

Sucrose nodded at Yu Jin. She excitedly said, "I know you, Great Adventurer Mr. Yu Jin!"

"Is there anything Mr. Yu Jin needs here? If you wish to use the alchemy table, please feel free." Sucrose looked at Yu Jin, seemingly very curious about him.

"Hahaha, no, I've come to ask for your help." Yu Jin was quite pleased about his reputation preceding him.

As he spoke, he took out a blueprint and explained to the puzzled Sucrose, "Can you help me enlarge the bottle on this blueprint to the size of a person?"

Sucrose took the blueprint from Yu Jin. On it was something resembling a long-necked flask, but its neck was shorter and its body smaller.

The blueprint not only showed the proportions of each part of the bottle but also various patterns that could be engraved on it.

Why must potions be stored in perfumer's bottles? Because the patterns engraved on perfumer's bottles can not only further enhance the potion's effect but also prevent accidental activation of the potion and maintain the best storage conditions for it.

"This is..."

"Just a little trinket, but the more you make, the better. The magic circles on it should also be very useful for you alchemists, consider it your Reward." Yu Jin explained.

"What do you think? Will you take it?" Yu Jin asked.

"Yes! Mr. Yu Jin, rest assured, the finished product will be ready very soon!" Sucrose clutched the blueprint tightly and looked at Yu Jin.

The Great Adventurer, truly lives up to his name!
