"Keep these books safe. I'll be testing you on them later." At the entrance to Stormterror's Lair, Yu Jin, like a teacher, individually shook the short hands of the four Abyss Mages. At their feet lay stacks of thick books.
Enjou casually opened a book and immediately felt dizzy. This feeling of being drowned in knowledge was something he had never experienced before.
Enjou looked around and saw Dvalin engrossed in his own massive stone book, looking like a studious pupil.
"Why aren't you testing him!" Enjou angrily pointed at Dvalin, on the verge of tears.
"Bang bang!" Yu Jin tapped Enjou's head twice. "Are you as powerful as him? If you don't learn more, you won't even know how you died later!"
Enjou clutched his head, wanting to retort but unable to say anything. He had just glanced at a few pages, and although he didn't understand the content, he could tell that they were similar to magic.
And it was magic he had never seen before.
"Tha... thank you." Enjou nodded gratefully to Yu Jin. They were already fringe members of The Order, with limited ways to improve their strength, and the Abyss Order was the kind of organization that traveled all over the world.
With their strength, a slight misstep could lead to them dying unnoticed in those dangerous, desolate places.
"It's nothing. I hope you can all be good people in the future." Yu Jin patted the shoulders of the Abyss Four with a serious expression. "Don't block the wells with Slimes anymore; unblocking them is very troublesome."
"Uh..." Enjou felt that agreeing was wrong, but not agreeing was also wrong.
The responsibility of The Order constantly weighed on him, but soon he stopped thinking that way. Because he saw Yu Jin's fist waving in front of his eyes.
The responsibility of The Order? What's that? Enjou decisively tossed it somewhere he didn't know.
"Certainly! Boss, don't worry, we'll definitely be good people in the future!" Enjou puffed out his chest and said with full vigor.
"So, does this mean we're betraying The Order?" Ensa muttered under his breath upon seeing this.
"Wha... what? Where did you hear that? Didn't he say to be a good person? I think it's pretty good." Enka looked shocked, as he couldn't hear any hint of betrayal.
Enyu looked at his blue and purple companions and couldn't help but cover his face. He thought for a moment, then said with some uncertainty, "This shouldn't count as betrayal."
[You've already betrayed them.] Dvalin, in the distance, looked at the Abyss Four and silently scoffed in his heart.
But he didn't point it out. So what if they betrayed them? Dvalin figured the Abyss Order couldn't defeat Yu Jin anyway.
"Who said you've betrayed them?" Yu Jin crossed his arms and gently coaxed, "Look, your Order's plans have been brewing for so long, do they show any sign of being realized?"
"No." x4. The Abyss Four shook their heads like rattles.
"Exactly!" Yu Jin clapped his hands and then said, "Do you know why?"
"Why?" The Abyss Mages looked curious.
"Because there are too many parasites in your Order!" Yu Jin waved his hand, stating a completely incorrect conclusion.
However, the Abyss Mages listened with great interest. In The Order, no one discussed such things; after all, many people didn't even know what The Order's plan actually was.
"It's precisely because of all these parasites that your Order's plan has been delayed!" Yu Jin pressed on, continuing to mislead them:
"Look at your previous superior, he was ugly, stupid, and arrogant. How can you succeed with a plan when you're with such vermin!"
"Then what do you suggest?" Enka leaned in. The more Yu Jin spoke, the more he felt it was right. Abyss Fire constantly looked down on people and was arrogant; Enka had long been fed up with him.
If he couldn't beat Abyss Fire, Enka would have made that guy pay a long time ago!
"Of course, we'll get rid of him!" Yu Jin made a slashing motion with his hand, saying fiercely.
"Good! Get rid of him!" Enka immediately agreed. Then he realized everyone's gaze was on him.
[Has he always been this foolish?]
[He's just that foolish.]
With just a look, Yu Jin and Enjou completed a perfect communication.
"Hey! Why are you looking at me? Are you scared? He bullied us so badly, it's long overdue to get revenge on him!" Enka thought Enjou and the others were scared, so he kept trying to persuade everyone.
"No, it's just that Enka, you shouldn't leave us in the future." Enyu looked at Enka and said earnestly.
"Right, you'll stay by my side from now on." Ensa also nodded. He originally thought he was stupid enough, but he didn't expect Enka to be even dumber than him.
"Good! Very spirited!" Yu Jin nodded in satisfaction, greatly appreciating Enka's spirit of daring to resist.
"Bye, see you in a couple of days." Then Yu Jin said goodbye to everyone and walked out of the Domain.
He still had to keep an eye on Lanssangx.
"Bye... bye." Enjou and the others watched Yu Jin's departing back, somewhat slow to react. Yu Jin's thoughts jumped too quickly. One moment he was praising the lightning mage, the next he said hello and left.
After Yu Jin left, Enjou and the others also left the Domain. But when they came out, they couldn't see any trace of Yu Jin.
"Are we really going to do as he said?" Enyu came to Enjou's side, worriedly.
They were not only caught between The Order and Yu Jin, but they couldn't refuse either side.
Enjou didn't answer Enyu's question. Instead, he flipped through the book Yu Jin had given him.
As the pages fluttered, they were filled with profound and obscure theories and mysterious, powerful spells.
But soon, his hand stopped flipping. He looked at the image in the book, which depicted a scene of humans confronting a giant dragon.
It was an illustration identical to the one in Dvalin's massive book. Equally grand, equally moving, and equally captivating.
[When did he know?] This question popped into Enjou's mind.
Was he lurking nearby since then? Enjou thought it impossible. He suddenly recalled the scene of time flowing backward, and a sense of suffocation washed over him.
"Hoo—" Enjou closed the book, then nodded and said, "Do it! Why not? I've been annoyed with him for a long time! He wants to kill me? Then let's see who kills whom!"
Enjou remembered the moment Abyss Fire told him to go to his death, and his heart was filled with anger. Since that guy didn't value his own life, then he couldn't blame Enjou... "Boom!" A deafening roar of airflow erupted from high in the Sky, causing pedestrians on the ground to look up.
Unfortunately, there was nothing in the Sky but a clear blue and white expanse.
If someone could break through the limits of their eyesight, they would see a moving white dot high above.
That was Lanssangx flying.
"So tired! So tired!" Lanssangx kept shouting how tired she was while flying.
As for why? Of course, it was because Lanssangx was carrying many large and small stones on her back.
She had been busy with this for days, and to avoid being discovered, she kept changing locations to dig for stones, which made her dragon claws rough.
Lanssangx looked down and saw the dilapidated ruins below. So she flew down as if granted a great pardon.
From a distance, Lanssangx saw Yu Jin in the ruins and immediately approached him.
"Here, these are the stones I found." As Lanssangx spoke, she set down a huge amount of stones.
Adding to what she had brought before, the area around the ruins was now densely packed with various stones.
"This place is quite spacious, King, how did you find it?" Lanssangx squatted on the ground in her dragon form, looking at the ruins before her and saying admiringly.
It was open and spacious, allowing even a dragon to move freely. She had originally worried that sparring with Dvalin might not allow enough space, but now it seemed that with some reinforcement, this would be a good arena.
"Do you know how this place became ruins?" Yu Jin glanced around, speaking with a hint of emotion.
"How did it become like this?"
"Stormterror and I did it." Yu Jin said, then picked up a huge stone brick and ran into the distance.
