Caucasus Mountains – Daylight
The roar of engines shattered the mountain air. Dom's Charger led the way, followed by Brian, Tej, Roman, and Letty, each in their precision-tuned rides. The convoy carrying Ramsey the mysterious hacker they needed snaked along the treacherous cliffside road, armored SUVs flanking a massive prison bus.
"Eyes on the prize," Dom growled through comms.
Brian's voice crackled back. "She's in that bus. Let's crack it open."
Roman tried to keep calm, but his nerves betrayed him. "We're driving on a cliff with no guardrails, bullets flying, and y'all sound way too relaxed!"
Tej smirked behind the wheel. "Focus, Rome. Just don't wreck this time."
The crew struck hard. Dom rammed an escort SUV, flipping it down the mountainside. Letty peppered the other with gunfire until it spun out. Brian darted up beside the bus, dodging rounds from the guards.
Inside the prison transport, Ramsey sat shackled but calm, her sharp eyes calculating even as chaos erupted around her.
Brian launched his car tight against the bus, then leapt from the Subaru, clinging to the steel plating as bullets whizzed by. He climbed the side, broke into the rear, and fought his way through armed guards. Fists and elbows flew; Brian took them down one by one, finally reaching Ramsey.
"Time to go," he told her, snapping the restraints.
"You're insane," she shot back, but followed without hesitation.
Up on a ridge, a long black rifle tracked the chaos. Deckard Shaw lay prone, a ghost in the shadows, his cold eyes behind the scope. He had no interest in Ramsey herself it was Dom's crew he wanted.
He lined up a shot at Dom's Charger, steady as stone. His finger tightened then explosions rocked the convoy, forcing him to shift aim. He cursed under his breath, a predator frustrated but patient.
"This isn't over," he muttered.
Back below, the bus driver made a last, desperate move. He jerked the wheel, sending the hulking vehicle skidding toward the cliff edge. Metal screamed as tires lost grip.
"Brian! Get her out, now!" Dom barked.
Brian shoved Ramsey up through the roof hatch. She scrambled out just as the bus tilted further. He was about to follow but the floor buckled. The entire bus pitched nose-first toward the abyss.
Brian barely made it onto the roof before the bus went vertical. He scrambled up, but his hands slipped. Suddenly he was dangling from the edge of the cliff, nothing but hundreds of feet of air beneath him.
"Brian!" Letty roared.
Her Dodge Viper screeched to the cliff's edge, sideways drift perfect. She flung her door wide open, screaming: "Jump!"
With seconds to spare, Brian swung his body, launched himself off the crumbling ledge and landed hard inside Letty's car. She hit the gas, tearing away as the bus thundered down the canyon, exploding into fire and ash.
Meanwhile, Dom had Ramsey in his Charger, boxed in by enemy SUVs. Ahead the cliff drop.
Ramsey's voice trembled. "You're not actually gonna"
Dom didn't answer. He floored it.
The Charger blasted straight off the mountain road into open sky. Ramsey screamed, clutching the seat, as the car sailed across the abyss.
Then whoomph! parachutes deployed from the frame, yanking the car into a controlled glide. The Charger drifted down the mountainside like a steel bird, smashing into the ground below but landing intact. Dom didn't flinch once.
Ramsey looked at him, wide-eyed. "You're crazy."
Dom just said, "I'm not the only one."
One by one, the crew converged, battered but alive. Roman pulled in last, his car smoking. "See? I made it! Told y'all I had it under control."
Tej smirked. "Sure you did, Rome."
Ramsey stepped out, brushing dirt from her jacket, staring at the strange collection of misfits who had just risked everything to save her. For the first time, her expression softened.
"You people are out of your minds," she said. Then, quieter: "But thank you."
Dom gave her a steady nod. "You're family now."
Far above, Deckard Shaw packed up his rifle, eyes still locked on Dom's crew as they drove away. He whispered to himself, voice laced with cold promise:
"Family won't save you from me."
And with that, he vanished into the mountains.
