Chapter 11 - 11

"Damn."

Aron, Lydie and the 'French' girl had the same word drawn out of their throats at the same time.

No one had expected that.

"Velhana..."

The white haired girl didn't sound tired anymore.

"This guy is going to make things so much more..."

She glanced at the blonde beside her.

Lydie stopped staring at Aron.

"Lydie, don't stare at the nerd like you want to kill him."

Lydie's Amber eyes were cold as they bore into Cecil's back.

"I said that I will stop the yandere tenden— "

*click*

*woosh*

"OW—okay—"

At the Arena, three of the eight daggers circled Cecil joyously.

"Aron?"

"C, did you pull those five out of your ass?"

"Technically."

"Y'know what? You're strong, C."

Aron said as he looked at the floating daggers again.

"age is still a problem for me."

Cecil said as the daggers flew behind him and vanished.

"That last thing you did could let you surprise and kill a mid F rank binder easily."

Aron said as he moved to the weapon stand to put the sword back.

He flexed his arm, and the audience snapped out of their stupor.

"Too bad you can't use that often."

The world of binders revolves around myriad webs of lies, only a few managing to slip though the gaps to truth. and Cecil is now weaving his first.

"That was my class skill, alright."

A binder awakens their permanent class at level 2. Wierd, but okay.

There are subclasses too, one at level 50, then 150, then 250 and so on. Most people only get 2 subclasses.

The system outright says that your class is too generic for more subclasses.

Classes can be evolved too, but that is not for the average Joe and Jane.

Aron was wearing the binder's uniform, half shirt. He pressed the lower left leaf of the academy logo, and his clothes adjusted themselves.

"what."

"what?"

"That's why binder uniforms look fancier?"

"Yeah, these-"

Aron said as he pointed at all the extra embroidery.

"Are all mana arrays, or formations. I dunno the difference."

"Arrays are just small formations. Think small area and big area, both , but both have different ning ranges and powers."

Cecil felt a bit like a poet as he infodumped Aron.

Thanks a lot.

Cecil mentally thought.

"Let's go grab some food."

Cecil said as he turned to glance at the audience. They will probably not be troubling him for a while.

"Lydie, lets go."

The white haired girl dragged the blonde out of the audience area with both her hands.

————

"C."

"Yeah?"

They were out of the arena now.

"What are you doing?"

Aron pointed at Cecil's phone, where his thin fingers typed rapidly.

"History Essay."

Cecil didn't look up.

"When is it gonna be done?"

Important question.

All 400 of their class will be copying that.

"If I eat fast enough, by 3."

Cecil looked at the time. 2:34 PM.

"Right, you know any shop where they buy jade?"

Cecil suddenly became aware of poverty.

"Yeah. But its kinda a big shop."

Aron only knew one place to appraise, buy and (c)sell precious materials.

"I have a faster way of going there than whatever you have in mind."

"Aron, are you going to grab me?"

Cecil had not forgotten their entry to the combat dome.

"No..."

Aron looked away.

He turned his head a couple of times.

The next thing Cecil felt was his feet leave the ground, and his vision blurring to colors.

Damn.

"Hey, C, We're here."

Aron out Cecil on the ground.

Infront of them was a grand looking building.

★★★REGINA JEWELS★★★

APPRAISE BUY (C)SELL

This place was definitely one of those where Cecil could never dream on entering before.

Truly makes you wondy.

How much things can change in a day.

"Okay, so, you want to sell jade right?"

Aron asked Cecil.

"Yeah, here— I've got six pieces."

Cecil pulled out the pieces of Jade.

All of them were spherical, about the size of a golf ball.

"Oh. They are kinda small. Think you'll get like, 20 Gold per piece. Let's go."

Aron remarked and walked towards the entrance.

The Security looked at the two through his sunglasses, and seeing the uniforms, blocked the entrance.

"Identification?"

Aron pulled out his ID card, and Cecil followed hurriedly.

The guard then stepped aside and the two entered without any trouble.

There were 3 sets of counters, labelled A B (C), appraising, buying and (c)selling. The two of them went to the Appraisal counters, most of them were empty, so they just went to the closest one.

The man in the counter was bald, minus the crescent shaped ridge of brown-white hair around his head, and a clean face, hopefully not shaven. He really looked like some overworked dad. He looked at the two of them, and just grunted.

Cecil set the 6 pieces of Jade in front of him.

The man squinted at the jade, and pulled out a box shaped machine and connected it to the laptop behind him. He put the pieces of Jade one by one in it, and everytime, the laptop flashed the number 75.

"6 level 75 jade, 150 Gold per piece, 900 gold or 9 platinum. Which do you want kid?"
