Chapter 10 - 10

Round 9

Aron gave Cecil another piece of advice.

"Don't try to block your enemy's attack, block their advance."

That's going to be easier now.

[

Sentience- Fetal Weapon Spirit

]

The sentience of all the daggers had reached the level of a fetus, reacting to everything around them in the simplest way possible.

They see, or rather feel each other as brothers and sisters, whice was part of the reason why the weapon spiral skill worked.

Aron is advancing again, and the daggers are not afraid.

The combined brainpower of Cecil and the daggers have a new strategy.

[Additional rewards will be granted if quest is completed within 10 losses]

Believe it or not, Cecil was not exactly in his physical peak, that hit from round one was the only injury on him, and it still hurt like hell.

[Quest will be considered as Failed if training session ends without a victory]

Well, the daggers were not tired, and they started doing their own thing. Cecil was still monitoring them, ready to command again if needed. And also because...

[Mp- 58/60]

...Mana was really the only thing keeping him concious right now, and reckless animation might be a bad choice.

The three daggers Immediately formed a triangular formation halfway across the arena.

When Aron reached the daggers, they had arranged themselves such that Blue Blitz was above him, Green Guardian and Red Rager on his sides.

Aron tried to avoid the daggers by going to their side, but the entire formation shifted, always facing him.

8 meters apart from Cecil

2 meters away from the formation

As soon as Aron moved one step forward-

*SHING* *SHING*

*SHING*

All three daggers shot at Aron.

"Oh, that's literally what you do Lydie."

The 'French' girl's voice was less tired now.

She had heard Cecil's name being called in the Binders roll call during Alchemy, but he still sat in that corner with all the non binders, so she just assumed that there was some clerk who didn't do their job properly.

She found out a bit later(when she saw Cecil in the arena) that Cecil actually Binded with mana. It was the most talked about thing since the morning.

Cecil had a reputation of being an academic weapon, and everyone had copied either his notes or his answers atleast once in their lifetime.

And that was what he was. Just a character that they would laugh about after they were out of the academy.

Now, maybe he could be more. Those dagger tactics were high level.

"Lydie, he actually stole your technique or whatever you call it."

The Blonde didn't respond.

The white haired girl ran her hand through her hair, trying to part the bangs covering her eyes. She was unable to.

She pulled out a small metal rod from her pocket, and shook it.

*Click*

The rod extended silently into a staff taller than her.

"Mon Dieu, Lydie, we have to get food."

Her French slipped, and her staff spun.

*spank*

"Kya—"

Lydie squealed as she almost jumped as the staff hit her rear.

"What the Fuc-?"

"So you really like Aron that much, huh? Not even trying to dodge."

"No- I was not-"

"Okay, I believe you."

The staff retracted back into the compact rod.

"Let's go grab some food."

"We can't."

"What?"

"We eat with Aron."

"We can just... not do that for 1 day and be fine."

"That's rude."

"Simp."

"French."

"Okay, sure, I'll wait."

The white haired girl put the rod back in her pocket and focused on the duel again.

Aron had tried to cross the barrier again and again, but failed everytime.

To be fair, 4 people were watching him, so it was pretty difficult to say the Least.

Aron had even begun to unsupress his stats, trying to see how fast Cecil was reacting.

His SPD was at 22, for a binder with balanced stats, that would mean Level 22.

*SHING* *SHING*

*SHING*

Something might be up. Executioner's immunity made him immune to these quick strikes, but damn. This could kill 20 levels above Cecil. That's definitely top 10 material.

Aron decided to Escalate.

He decided to unsupress himself to Level 100.

The Daggers attacked once more when Aron entered the Range. Except...

.... Aron caught Red Rager and Green Guardian by their handles, dropping his sword.

Dumbass. How's he gonna deal with Blue Blitz now?

That was Cecil's question.

""

Two Black Vines shot out from the ground below Aron. One coiled around Blue Blitz, and the Other whipped Cecil's legs.

Cecil didn't know what hit him until his head hit the ground.

"OW— Melder what the Fuck?!"

"I never said that I couldn't youse skills"

"...what?"

"I can use my skills. Breach monsters can too."

About time.

"Lydie, If they don't stop after this, I'll drag you to the cafeteria. Not let you eat, and pay for my food with your card."

The 'French' girl spoke in the audience space, her voice as Tired as it normally is(very).

"C, We're getting Lunch after this."

Aron said as he adjusted his slightly sweaty shirt. The sweat was not enough to outline his muscles, much to the disappointment of the fangirls.

Well, Cecil finally had a winning strategy, so Guess it was worth it.

Aron Dashed straight at Cecil, and the Three Daggers immediately shot out at Aron, but they didn't attack him, only orbiting him, blades pointed at him.

9 meters apart

Aron Continued running at Cecil, still wary of the Daggers.

The Daggers silently revolved around Aron.

Aron felt it was wrong, and Stopped immediately.

6 meters apart

Aron stood there for a full second, but the Daggers didn't move. And Aron again took a step forward.

*SHING*

*CLANG*

Red Rager out.

*SHING*

*CLANG*

Green Guardian out.

Then, he saw them.

4 Daggers around Blue Blitz.

The 4 golden Daggers ran at him, Left, Right, Front and Back. Blue Blitz also struck, from above. Aron Dodged Blue Blitz, and then spun his sword in a full circle.

*CLANG* *CLANG*

*CLANG* *CLANG*

The four Daggers were dealth with, But Blue Blitz shot at him again. Wait... Why does it look bigger? Oh well.

*CLANG*

Blue Blitz was deflected upwards, and something split out of it.

*SHING*

*Poke*

A small golden-pink dagger poked Aron's forehead.

"Well,"

Cecil spoke from his starting position. Not a step away.

"I won. Aron."

He sounded Condescending.

Let's see if that lasts when he sees his pending fucking history essay.
