"Be careful, Orion," Louise intervened, his tone filled with concern. "Do you really want to hurt our baby before he's even born?"
His words struck Orion deeply, making him freeze for a second before his trembling hand instinctively went to his still-flat belly. The gesture was tender but confused, protective yet uncertain.
"Sorry, Esper Louise," Edwards interjected, frowning in bewilderment. "But what exactly do you mean by saying you're the father of the baby? And not only that, you told Orion you're going to marry him?"
He looked between the two men, utterly lost. "I know my friend can be reckless sometimes, and I know he has offended you somehow, which is why you brought him to your mansion. But please, I'm begging you.....spare him. For the sake of the innocent child. You can take back whatever money Mr. Redwood paid you. Just let us go. We'll leave the country immediately if that's what it takes."
