Sienna Thornton finished her accusation, leaned back against the sofa with her eyes closed, and slapped her forehead, both angry and helpless.
Simon Forrester took a moment to process her information-laden words, then picked out the key point and asked, "Why was the case against Jane Jefferson dismissed?"
"Insufficient evidence."
"Is there no way to deal with her?"
Sienna Thornton shook her head, "She's a lawyer herself, how could she leave any incriminating evidence?"
Simon Forrester stood up and went to the desk to get his phone.
Sienna Thornton heard him ask Thomas Reed on the phone where Jane Jefferson was, whether she was in Britione. She didn't know what Thomas Reed said, but then heard Simon shout, "You'd better bring that woman back to Britione immediately, or I'll cut off all investments!"
Sienna Thornton didn't open her eyes. She waited until he hung up the phone before asking, "Where is Jane Jefferson?"
