***Cassius***
Cadiz was exactly where I knew he would be.
The nursery had basically become the main room he stayed in over the last few weeks. If he wasn't with Raizel, he was with the babies, and if he wasn't doing that, someone would usually find him fast asleep in the big chair right next to their cradle.
This afternoon, though, both of the twins were actually resting at the same time. Cadiz was just sitting quietly by the open window, letting the breeze hit him, with a thick book resting totally forgotten on his lap. He hadn't turned a single page in hours.
He looked up the second the floorboards creaked under my boots.
"Cassius," he said, his voice dropping down to a whisper.
I shut the door behind me, making sure the latch clicked into place as softly as I could. "Are they actually asleep?"
