"It's truly the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree!"
From the dense forest on a nearby mountain peak, Nangong Luo's gaze was fixed intently on the crimson crest not far away, his heart filled with delight.
After spending so much effort, it's finally been found!
"It does look extraordinary, no wonder Third Brother rushed over to cut us off!"
Jiang Che looked at the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree, glowing with electric light as if cast from silver, and secretly admired it in his heart.
However, at this moment, the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree had yet to ripen. Nangong Luo didn't hurry over, but instead sized up the few vicious beasts standing guard nearby, his eyes flickering.
"The strength of these beasts should have all reached the first tier. If I had come alone, it would probably cost me dearly to get my hands on it!"
"Fortunately, Big Brother came along this time. With his strength, these few beasts are nothing to worry about!"
According to memories from his previous life,
the realm of vicious beasts is divided into nine tiers. The seventh tier after the sixth is called the King Realm; beasts at this level can be called Beast King or Demon King. The eighth tier is the Emperor Realm, referred to as Demon Emperor, and the ninth tier is the Imperial Realm, which is the realm of the Demon Emperor!
The beasts that have just undergone the blood mist baptism are mostly below the first tier, while those that reach the first tier awaken their talent abilities.
The few beasts before them were quite extraordinary, each already at the mid-stage of tier one, while Nangong Luo's own cultivation was only late stage first tier.
As for Big Brother's cultivation?
Because along the way, Big Brother had always instantly killed tier one beasts, Nangong Luo guessed he was likely already at the second tier.
Time slowly passed.
Suddenly, the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree's silver radiance burst outward, its branches and needle leaves emitting a silver misty glow. That light was shockingly bright, shooting up to the heavens, dyeing the clouds, and instantly casting the entire sky in silver brilliance, even suppressing the sun above.
Rumble!
Suddenly, the clouds churned, wisps of vapor shifting as raging winds rose, and clusters of dark clouds began to gather, pressing heavily above the mountain crest, where lightning flickered among the clouds, thunder rolling and flashing.
Gradually, the lightning overhead grew in intensity, the black clouds swirling into a giant vortex, purple thunder coursing within, gathering power without end.
Boom!
With a blinding flash illuminating heaven and earth, an enormous peal of thunder sounded overhead, and a massive purple lightning column descended from the vortex, smashing directly onto the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree.
Lightning surged, purple radiance sweeping across the surrounding mountains; countless lightning threads entwined and danced through the trunk of the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree, electricity flashing, letting out sizzling noises.
With the aid of heavenly thunder, the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree finally began to ripen!
The originally silver trunk gradually shifted to a purple hue, transforming into a purple-jade ancient pine. The surging lightning threads followed its branches, converging upon the three Thunder Spirit Fruits.
Sizzle crackle!
The Thunder Spirit Fruits trembled, nourished amid countless lightning threads, slowly ripening into three purple fruits. Lightning danced on their skins, radiating layers of purple halos.
As the fruits matured, the thunder in the sky dispersed and clouds faded away, sunlight, once blocked, poured down once more.
Gazing at the Thunder Spirit Fruits, shining with purple spiritual light and exuding a rich fragrance, greed flickered in the eyes of all four beasts.
Immediately, they all looked at their rivals, murderous aura surging from their bodies, their gazes filled with primal bloodlust.
"Roar!"
The yellow giant tiger let out a long roar, intimidating the other three beasts.
"Screech!"
The golden divine eagle cried out fearlessly, spreading its brilliant wings and was about to pounce on the giant tiger.
The white Wolf King's flames burned higher, blazing around its entire body as it dashed straight towards the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree.
Splat!
The golden divine eagle beat its golden wings, its form flashing swiftly, the golden spiritual light around it condensing into three gold feathers, each about a palm long, but incomparably sharp.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The instant the golden divine eagle swept over the mountaintop, the three feathers shot forth as streaks of golden light toward the white wolf charging ahead.
The white Wolf King's forward dash paused, its body flickering as it swiftly dodged the three golden feathers, then roared furiously, his flames surging, shaping into a gigantic fire whip of scarlet crimson.
Whoosh!
The fiery long whip swept through the air, lashing at the golden divine eagle with a howling gust of wind.
Facing danger, the golden divine eagle abruptly twisted mid-air, narrowly dodging past the flaming attack.
Screech!
The golden divine eagle locked its hawkish eyes on the Wolf King, emitting an angry shriek as its vast golden wings beat, stirring gusts of wild wind.
Its figure dove down fast, talons outstretched, flashing with razor sharpness, ruthlessly swiping at the white Wolf King.
The golden divine eagle was blindingly fast; before the white Wolf King could draw back its fire whip, the eagle was already upon him.
In a flash, the twin golden talons sliced across the Wolf King's back, the snow-white fur tearing open in long bloody gashes.
The wounds stretched from the wolf's chest down to its waist, deep to the bone, and in just a breath a gush of blood spurted from each cut.
Awoo!
The white Wolf King uttered a pitiable wail, seething with fury at the golden divine eagle, its once clear eyes now reddened, breath flaring to the limit.
The blazing fire whip connected to its body suddenly flared, then split into six arm-thick lashes, flames raging, sparks flying.
The six whips thrashed wildly in the air, dazzling with firelight as they lashed at the golden eagle diving down. The golden eagle didn't give up, its form shifting agilely, darting around the whips, but finally caught a burning strike.
Bam!
The fire whip lashed the golden eagle's chest, tossing it through the air with tremendous force. The eagle cried out in pain, wings beating frantically to steady itself.
Now its chest was caved in, flesh mangled and blackened, gold beak dripping blood nonstop.
Despite severe injury, the golden eagle refused to yield, eyes full of menace as it condensed three more golden feathers and dove at the Wolf King once again.
The savage clash between the two beasts lasted but a moment.
The yellow giant tiger seized the chance, bolting for the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree, nearly reaching the Spirit Fruit.
Roar!
Far off, the giant bear's eyes narrowed, glittering with cunning. Suddenly it roared and slowly lumbered toward the tiger, exuding murderous might and utter ferocity.
The yellow tiger was forced to turn and retaliate, its earthy yellow spiritual light instantly hardening into a stony Rock Armor that covered its body.
"Roar!"
With an explosive growl, the tiger leapt at the bear.
But before the tiger could get close, the giant bear abruptly halted, smugness flickering in its gaze, then slammed its broad paw—glowing yellow—onto the ground.
Boom!
A massive stone pillar erupted from the ground, directly smashing the charging tiger skyward.
Thud!
Thanks to its Rock Armor, the yellow tiger wasn't fatally hurt, but crashing down left its head spinning.
Struggling up, the tiger shook its head clear, eyes burning with hatred; with claws bared, it dashed again in a streak of yellow light at the giant bear.
But just a short distance in, another stone pillar sent the yellow tiger flying, slamming it down with a crash.
The giant bear, unmoving in place, watched with mockery in his eyes.
"So this is the Thunderous Roar of my past life?"
Nangong Luo watched the bear toying with the yellow tiger, speaking inwardly to himself.
This bear had already shown strength close to late first tier.
It was not only the strongest of the four beasts, but also very cunning.
Instead of a life-and-death struggle with the tiger and exposing its full power, it chose to delay the fight.
Evidently, it intended to wait for the white wolf and golden eagle to decide their bout, and then strike instantly to profit alone while denying the other three the chance to join forces against it.
Soon enough, the Wolf King and divine eagle were both severely wounded.
The Wolf King slumped on the ground, panting hard, body heaving, with long wounds across its back where fur peeled away, blood endlessly drenching it crimson.
On its face, a deep bloody scar slashed across the eye socket, the eye itself sunken in, leaving a gaping red hole.
The divine eagle had fallen as well, body scorched black, chest shredded, right wing drooping with a white bone jutting from torn flesh, moaning piteously.
Seeing the miserable state of the two beasts, the giant bear's eyes gleamed. No longer feigning, it unleashed its full power: several sharp rock spikes burst from beneath the earth, shattering the yellow tiger's precious Rock Armor and puncturing several bowl-sized bloody holes in its belly.
The yellow tiger crashed down, howling in agony, the pain in its abdomen making it spasm uncontrollably on the ground.
The giant bear howled with excitement and, ignoring the tiger, strode toward the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree.
At that moment, Jiang Che and Nangong Luo, who'd been secretly closing in, struck.
Roar!
Jiang Che leapt out—huge-bodied but astonishingly fast—reaching the giant bear in just a few steps.
The moment he pinned it down, not giving any chance to react, his Golden Light Claw stabbed hard into the back of its skull, easily piercing the bone and annihilating its life.
The giant bear's body shuddered, spasmed helplessly, then collapsed in a heap.
Nangong Luo had already dashed to the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree, preparing to pick the Spirit Fruit.
Swoosh!
A golden feather shot toward him.
The white wolf, divine eagle, and yellow tiger—all wounded—launched a desperate attack.
Nangong Luo dodged the feather and countered, golden light bursting from his body as a golden light blade over a meter long shot out. In a flash, the leading Wolf King was sliced clean in two, the cut mirror-smooth.
Even as he released the golden light blade, Nangong Luo charged at the divine eagle, zigzagging across the ground to avoid the flying feathers. His massive tiger body pinned the eagle down; his sharp tiger fangs pierced and wrenched off its head.
Swish!
The golden light blade flew back, killing the much slower yellow tiger.
Just like that, all four vicious beasts perished here.
The two tigers walked slowly up to the Thunder Spirit Fruit Tree.
Jiang Che took a few steps back, giving a low roar and signaling to Nangong Luo.
He clearly didn't plan to eat the Thunder Spirit Fruit, intending to give them all to Nangong Luo to boost his strength.
"Big Brother is giving them all to me? No way, if not for Big Brother, I could never have gotten the Thunder Spirit Fruit so easily!"
"Besides, to awaken Thunder Power, one Thunder Spirit Fruit is enough!"
With that, Nangong Luo plucked a Thunder Spirit Fruit and pushed it towards Jiang Che.
"For me? Not bad, not bad! You actually know to offer things to your Big Brother now!"
Jiang Che was stunned at first, then his heart filled with joy.
