The moment the attackers saw the lady, they all bowed their heads to her. She stood there at the center of them and slowly moved her hair to the side, revealing most of her face. Her eyes were multiple colors, one completely white and the other completely black. She looked like something that wasn't meant to be human.
"I told him that one kid didn't need my attention, and yet he still forced me. Tsk, if not for the favor I owed…" she muttered. She glanced at where Raze landed and then where Gavin landed. "They aren't dead? Pretty resilient. I should finish off the target first."
She began walking toward Raze, her steps light, almost like she wasn't walking at all.
Raze's eyes opened. Everything was a blur. Pain filled his body, and he could barely move. He gritted his teeth and tried to move his hand, but it was barely responsive.
"You should be happy that you're still alive. I intended to end you quickly," the lady said as she walked toward him.
