"What?" Melody Thorne pretended not to grasp his words, her gaze shifting to the long dining table laden with a plate of exquisite crystal shrimp, looking especially tempting, along with several other dishes that she loved; they seemed freshly prepared.

"This looks delicious," Melody Thorne swiftly grabbed the chopsticks on the table, her quick hands reaching for the plate.
Jared Quinn's brow twitched slightly; his long arm immediately wrapped around her waist, pulling her into his embrace, taking the chopsticks away with her.
He was more than happy if she liked his cooking, but that wasn't the priority now; the priority was changing how she addressed him.
"If you want to eat, then change it quickly," Jared Quinn threatened softly, both coaxing and deceiving. "Change it and Timmy will cook for you."
