"Wait," Melody Thorne pressed a hand to her chest, feeling a bit unwell and like she might vomit.
Getting up, she immediately ran to the bathroom and threw up into the toilet, her chest feeling a bit blocked.
"What's wrong?" Jared Quinn stood behind her, speaking with concern, his large hand gently stroking her back.
Almost everything she'd just eaten had been vomited up, and the feeling of nausea finally disappeared.
Melody Thorne stood up, leaning against Jared Quinn's chest, "A bit uncomfortable."
"Hospital?"
"No need, I just want to rest for a while," Melody Thorne closed her eyes.
All that food she ate was wasted.
A chilly wind seemed to blow across Jared Quinn's stern face, his dark phoenix eyes immediately sweeping over the leftover food on the table. "Was it something wrong with the food?"
These had all been prepared in advance, and he had just taken them out of the fridge to make.
