This was the problem with higher-ranked beasts.
Even a Low 3-star beast was troublesome to tame.
Part of the issue was its sheer size. The creature's actual strength far exceeded what its rank suggested simply because of how large it was.
Although Leo had now reached High 3-star Beast Master, he still couldn't outpower the Low 3-star beast of this scale. That was because most of his attacks only managed to inflict damage on it in a small area when compared to the beast's actual size.
Not to mention that most of the damage had been inflicted on the other layers of earth covering its body, layers that mended at an absurd speed.
Still, Leo could see it.
The colossus was slowly running out of steam.
