Chapter 135 - Chapter 135

Gojo Residence –

Two days passed quickly.

In the blink of an eye, it was already Friday afternoon.

The sun was slowly setting outside Sobu High School, and students were beginning to head home after classes.

However—

Today, Marin Kitagawa didn't go back to her house like usual.

Instead, she walked down the quiet street with another girl beside her.

The girl had long black hair tied loosely behind her head and carried herself with a calm and elegant aura.

This was Benio Adashino, one of the most talented young Exorcist in the modern world and also Gojo's student.

Benio glanced sideways at Marin. "You're really excited about this."

Marin grinned brightly in response, "Of course! This is my first time seeing the finished cosplay outfit!"

Benio gave her a suspicious look but said nothing.

Soon the two arrived at a familiar building.

Gojo Satoru's residence.

They both decided to took the stairs instead of the elevator as they quickly reached the front door, Marin rang the doorbell as both of them wait patiently.

"Come in."

.....

Inside the room,

The two girls stepped inside and changed into indoor slippers at the entrance.

When they walked into the living room—

They immediately saw the owner of the house—Gojo Satoru was sitting casually on the sofa with one leg crossed over the other.

The television played the news in the background.

In his hand was a small strawberry cake.

He took another bite lazily, before turning to looked at the visitor.

Marin waved enthusiastically, as she walked inside the room. "Gojo-kun!"

Benio froze at how she was addressing their teacher so informally.

She slowly turned toward Marin.

"…Gojo-kun?"

Her voice carried obvious confusion.

Wasn't she calling him "Gojo-sensei" before?

When did this change?

Benio narrowed her eyes slightly as she continue to stare at one of her good friends.

Something definitely happened between these two...but what?

Her mind were filled with that question, as she even forget to greet Gojo.

Gojo took another bite of the cake, before finishing it quickly and waved back to the enthusiastic Marin. "Oh, You're here."

He glanced at Marin with a teasing smile.

"I didn't expect you to actually come over now, Marin. I remember you just said you wanted to check the cosplay costume" Gojo check the time on the clock in the living room, it was 7 pm now, he asked in casual manner. "Do you wish to stay tonight."

Marin puffed her cheeks at his playful tone, before replying. "Well...yes."

She walked over to the sofa and sat down.

At the same time she noticed a fluffy white cat that was curled up nearby, sleeping.

"Oh! Vanilla!" She exclaimed in joy, as she picked the cat up happily. "Long time no see!"

The cat lazily opened its eyes and let out a small meow. "Meow~"

As if replying.

Meanwhile—

Benio walked calmly into the kitchen.

She had already gotten used to helping around Gojo's house and she also began to like helping out whenever she can.

A few minutes later—

She returned to the living room carrying a tray — Three cups of black tea and a plate of biscuits.

She placed them on the table before taking her seat beside Marin who was busy playing with the cat.

"Gojo-sensei, what are we having for dinner tonight?"

Gojo leaned back against the sofa. "Hm…You tell me. I can cook pretty much anything."

He wasn't lying, whether it was western food, japanese food or chinese food.

Even desserts.

Gojo knew how to cook them all.

But ironically—

He never knew what he actually wanted to eat.

Marin placed Vanilla in her lap, as she began to think about Gojo's question, "I honestly don't know what to eat."

Benio too shake her head in denial.

If it was up to her she would just want to eat ohagi for dinner everyday...if not for Umaru strict warning about how eating only ohagi is not healthy for her body....she didn't believe it at all!

Gojo shrugged, " Then let's wait for Umaru to come back. She'll probably decide it."

Benio nodded. "That's fine."

Just as they finished speaking—

Click~!

The sound of the door opening could be heard.

Step! Step! Step!

After that the sound of someone stepping against the floor was heard, as a strange figure appeared in the hallway.

A girl was wearing; A baseball cap, black sunglasses, with a large mask and was holding a brand-new game cartridge.

The person looked extremely suspicious.

Like a secret agent.

Or a criminal.

Marin stared at the figure with wide eyes, as she shutter, "…Uh…Umaru?"

She asked uncertainly, while the figure size and hair color were very similar to the person in her mind. She still couldn't believe that they were the same person at all.

In Marin's memory—

Umaru Gojo (the suspicious individual) was a gentle, elegant, and beautiful girl. With perfect grades, good manners and beautiful appearance.

But the person standing in the hallway looked like someone sneaking home after committing a crime!

"?!"

Umaru's whole body jumped in shock, like a cat after seeing the eggplant.

She quickly removed her hat, mask, and sunglasses. Then turned around nervously, hiding the game cartridge behind her back, as she began awkwardly.

"A-anyway..I have something to do! I'm going to my room!"

Without waiting for a response—

She ran upstairs at top speed.

Her voice echoed nervously.

"Don't come in!"

SLAM!

Her bedroom door slammed shut.

Marin blinked in confusion, as she asked, "…That was Umaru, right?"

She turned toward Gojo and Benio.

"Did something happen to her?"

Gojo placed another biscuit in his mouth. "Oh. That was Umaru's sister."

And lie...

Marin tilted her head, still confused and shocked. "Sister?"

Gojo nodded with a very serious expression, "Yes. Her name is Omaru!"

Benio immediately rolled her eyes, used to Gono's antics, "Don't listen to him. He's lying."

She had lived with Gojo and Umaru long enough to already knew the truth.

Umaru wasn't the perfect girl everyone believed she is.

Behind closed doors—

She was a complete gaming otaku!

A lazy shut-in who relied on her brother for almost everything.

Marin pouted, "Gojo-kun! You're so mean!"

Her cheeks puffed out like a small pufferfish after getting poke.

Gojo stared at her for a while, before commenting. "…Cute."

Then he reached out, before Marin to come to her senses.

Poke...

His finger gently pressed her soft cheek.

Marin froze as she felt his finger touching her soft skin as it turned bright red.

Poor Benio was force to watch this....

.....

After Dinner,

The evening passed peacefully.

Gojo cooked a simple but delicious dinner.

Rice. Miso soup. Teriyaki chicken.

And some vegetable tempura to go with it all.

Even Benio admitted the food was excellent.

Later that night—

Gojo brought Marin upstairs to the study.

Creakkk!

The door opened with a sharp noise.

Inside the study—

Several costumes hung neatly on display.

Marin's eyes immediately sparkled like stars in the night sky.

"Wow!!"

She dash forward excitedly, not being able to contain her excitement.

"So beautiful!"

She picked up a black gothic dress that was on the table.

"This is exactly like Kuroe's outfit!"

{T/N: Shizuku Kuroe, the full name of the character}

"You recreated it perfectly!"

Is my 'love' for Kuroe-san finally coming true? It's really so great!

Gojo spun his chair around and sat backward on it casually. "I finished it. But my back hurts from working on it."

He stretched against the chair lazily, muttering with a mock helpless voice, "If only someone helped massage my shoulders."

Marin blinked her beautiful ruby-like eyes. After some second she understood immediately, as her face turned slightly red.

But she still walked behind him after putting the dress back on the table carefully. She didn't want it to be damage or anything. After reaching behind his back...

"Alright." She gently began tapping his shoulders. "Is this okay, Gojo-kun?"

Gojo sighed comfortably. "Ahh. That's perfect."

After a moment he added casually—

"Oh and I made some small adjustments to the outfit. The chest area and skirt length are slightly longer than the original."

Marin blinked again, chuckling under her breathe as she leaned closer. Her voice became teasing.

"Oh? Is that a man's possessiveness?"

Gojo shrugged casual, "If you don't like it, I'll change it."

Marin crossed her arms, disappointed, "Hmph! Never mind."

But deep inside—

She felt happy.

Because that meant Gojo cared about how she looked.

'It seems that Gojo-kun is also interesting in me! It's good that I took the initiative!'

The two continued discussing the cosplay details.
