Sabe opened his eyes slowly, his vision blurry as the harsh brightness of the room assaulted his senses. He winced, blinking several times as his eyes gradually adjusted, until the outlines of the room became clear.
"Fuck… my head hurts," he murmured under his breath.
He tried to sit up, but the moment he shifted his body, a sharp pain shot through him, forcing a low groan from his throat. His muscles refused to cooperate, weak and heavy as though they didn't belong to him.
Only then did he fully take in his surroundings.
White walls. The steady beeping of a heart monitor. The faint smell of antiseptic lingering in the air.
He was in a hospital ward.
Sabe frowned deeply, his gaze dropping to his hand where a drip was connected to his vein, clear fluid slowly flowing into his body.
"What the fuck am I doing here?" he snapped the moment his eyes landed on Josh.
