The next day arrived swiftly, the golden sun spilling through the wide windows and casting warm rays across Sabe's face. Morning light painted the room, illuminating the slow rise and fall of Matthew's chest beside him. Matthew lay close, an arm securely wrapped around Sabe's waist, holding him as though afraid he might disappear if released.
Sabe turned slightly, studying him in silence.
He looks cute even while sleeping, Sabe murmured inwardly, his lips barely moving as his fingers trailed gently down the bridge of Matthew's nose. His touch was feather-light, reverent.
