It wasn't a relief that she was sold. Even for such a high price, it doesn't mean that she would feel flattered or chosen.
Evangeline saw the blond man's mask and felt a part of her twisted with fear and anxiety. She couldn't tell from afar if the man had an abusive tendency. While she could endure physical pain due to her fathers constant physical "scoldings" she wasn't sure if she could endure anything else.
When she stepped down to the backstage, her eyes for a moment locked with Bestio who had squinted as bright light hit his face. His face squinted in confusion, his bright golden eyes reflected that while he isn't a seraph, that his face would be likened to them.
"A war... hostage."
She could hear those words muttered by someone looking at Bestio in an awe.
Even Roman who had seen his face as a part of knowing what item he was selling, still froze upon looking at his face before breaking into an exhilarated smile.
