Crius watched as the Queen's dangerous eyes stare at him. She seemed to be studying his face for traces of lies, perhaps thinking since she had been avoiding to talk with Crius that this was his way to lie and make sure she will grant him a private audience. Of course, Crius wasn't lying. His eyes were firm and stern which made the Queen's face to only morph rigidly.
She pushed herself to stand, her fingers clinking loudly to the table as the golden rings she wore hit hard to the walnut table.
"Just one more problem on top of the other," her words signify the waves of danger their kingdom was about to face.
"When it rains, it pours after all," Crius answered with ease before turning around, his long lashes batting down across the circular table when he realized an unfamiliar faces that sat on the table.
