HARPER
I didn't know where Camilla was dragging me, but I knew it couldn't be good. My stomach tightened with every step. When we reached the pool area, she finally came to a stop.
I swallowed hard and instinctively took three steps back from the water, turning to face her. She was smiling, but there was something off about it, something evil beneath the sweetness.
"Don't be ridiculous," she said, waving a hand like she could bat away my thoughts. "I'm not going to push you in."
"Wouldn't you?" I murmured, holding her gaze.
From the corner of my eye, people had already started stripping down and diving into the pool. Music pulsed through the air, bass vibrating through my shoes as the party kicked into full swing.
Camilla scoffed. "If I wanted to, I would've done it already. But no, Harper, this is my night. I'm not as cruel as you think."
She twirled, throwing her arms up, "Come on, loosen up!"
