He launched himself at Dominic's leg, and it was almost laughable. He looked like an annoying fly, something that could easily be swatted away, and all the while he didn't even know Dominic was his real father.

No. I shook my head sharply. I didn't care about Dominic Fletcher, and I would keep the children's paternity hidden for as long as I wanted. He didn't deserve to know anything about us.
"Get off me!" Dominic growled as Nico clung to him like a leech. He pried Nico's arms from his leg and looked down at him. Then his eyes widened, and I saw something flicker there. Recognition.
"Take that!" Nico shouted, lifting his water squirt gun. "Pew! Pew! Pew!"
"Stay away from my mother, bad man!"
Dominic tried to dodge the barrage, lifting his arms to shield his face, but the water still got him. His eyes. His hair. His clothes.
