Chapter 30 - The registration

And now the guild receptionist called me again, but this time it was to measure my combat abilities, so Ashoka also gave me a gaze of approval.

So I could understand why he was allowing such a test in the first place, as surely after entering the guild, they won't be able to take care of me all the time, so they want to see my combat abilities and decide my position. And heh-heh, I was just about to have that awesome overpowered moment, but I couldn't just release the seals, or it might blow everything away.

So heh-heh, I was going to use my titles and talents to show off, and it might become a hassle later on, but after seeing me this overpowered, they won't bug me all the time to take care of me and try to ruin the fun of events. So now I was thinking about scoring a big time here.

And if anything started to go out of hand, then surely Brother and these Ashoka guys would handle it, so it was time to start.

As the first test was hand-to-hand combat, a person with a great body came onto the training ground and greeted me while saying, 'Michael, sir, surely gave us a hard time because of you, brother, and please don't ever disappear again, or Sir might torture us to death! Hearing his words, I felt that whatever Michael and others told me was pretty much the truth, so I nodded in an apologetic manner, greeted each other, and began to take our positions.

Well, my stats were around 100K, so I wasn't looking that nervous, but hand-to-hand combat was a pretty serious issue for an average employee like me to fight against a professional, but surely an awesome person like me could win anything, and soon the match begins.

And as soon as we exchanged blows with each other, I got to know that the stats weren't everything, as neither of my attacks was hitting him, but his every attack was lethally landing on me, but thanks to my outfit and my stats, his blows had no major effects on me.

And it was pretty one-sided, but instead of dirt and little bruises, nothing was on my face.

But his tense movements were telling me how insanely he was trying to dodge my every attack, because his instincts might be screaming for him to not let a single blow land on him, or it could end his entire life in the blink of an eye.

And this was the reason why he never let any of my blows land on him. And in the end, my entire happiness got tarnished because I scored a mere 1 point for good punches; otherwise, I wasn't even given a single point in hand-to-hand combat.

And seeing the results, Ashoka's face was not looking that nice, but he still forced a laugh and spoke in a teasing tone: 'Brat, I didn't know that you fight worse than a pregnant woman, creep. Just how in the world did you manage to stay under Michael? I wonder!'

Feeling his forced tone, I could clearly guess how pissed he was at the results, but he was forcing these expressions to make me feel better. But these forced words were giving me more embarrassment than after seeing the entire result, and they were reminding me of how the reality was and how crippled I was in my entire life.

Feeling this humiliation, I looked at my opponent, who still couldn't believe he won and was trying his best not to look straight in my eyes. Well, seeing it, I felt reassured that at least I did something that could be said to be worthwhile.

And after clearing the formalities of this round, we moved on to the swordplay test, and this time, I was quite intense from inside. So this was a test that I couldn't afford to lose.

So after entering the sword test area, I saw that a woman was coming from the other side with a smug look on her face, and she had a sword in her hand, and just as she came into the center, she took the sword and released a terrifying aura.

Feeling the aura, people from the sidelines had quite a bit of astonishment, and some had feelings of respect for her, while some had pity for me to think that I would be fighting such a sword master, but such a mere puny aura wasn't much for a person like me, so I took a deep breath and remembered that I used my swords in sealing that altar.

Feeling it, my face started turning blue, and I hastily and panickedly called Ashoka and said, "Hey-hey, what does this test mean? Aren't you guys going to provide me a sword, creep? I have nothing but my ass to fight with, so hurry up and give me a sword, or this bitch is going to slice me into many pieces."

Seeing my reaction, everybody started laughing, and this bastard sighed while throwing a wooden sword at me and spoke in a declarative tone: "Fight with it only, brat, as I don't have much better a sword than this right now, and try your best to not die, or Michael is going to burn our asses, ok?"

Hearing the name Michael, everybody's face turned pale, and they began to remember my face, and there was an insane silence in the entire training area. But this bastard was giving me a wooden sword, and that bitch was using an enchanted, overpowered weapon. But after hearing the name of Michael, even she had a tense face.

But I was going to tell Michael about this bastard and kick his ass, but now it wasn't important, as this bitch was about to charge at me.

So I took a deep breath, and now it was time for the real game, so I activated my title of 'the god of the swords.' 'And the moment I activated it, an immense, sharp aura began to emerge from me; seeing it, everybody had wide eyes and was way too astonished, but this bitch was thinking about ways to attack me, and instead of coming up with a strategy, she jumped at me with the same ferocity.

While Ashoka also had a change in his expressions and he also had a face of astonishment, he also had a sense of excitement.

But this time, it was feeling way too different, as when I used this before, it didn't feel this natural, but rather it was more like a temporary buff, but now it was feeling much more real, and I could even easily move around and see the movement of her sword.

And seeing the swings of her sword, I started to feel the sword's quality and nature in her sword: her flaws and her composure, and seeing the flaws made me realize a pattern of swings that could hit all the flaws in a single swing.

So with a mere swing at her flaws, I shattered her sword in countless pieces. Seeing my strike, everyone was dumbstruck and way too shocked to even say anything. The girl who was trying to attack me just now had a face of pure terror; she was way too shocked to even say something while Ashoka was looking at me in disbelief.

Seeing the situation and toll of my title, I calmed down and released my title while looking at my sword, and despite turning off the title, I could slightly understand how this sword was forged and how its sly nature reacts with every touch, as if I started to feel the nature of the sword without even activating my title. But as I was deeply occupied with my sword, I felt a hand approaching my shoulder.

And instinctively I swung my sword, but seeing that it was Ashoka, I controlled my movements and forced a smile; seeing my swing and this smile gave him a heartfelt laugh.

And he spoke with a grin. "Kiddo, you surely know how to mess with people. Look at that little girl who came to assess your skills in swords; she is not looking cheerful, right? But I guess she must be pretty attached to her weapon to make her weep like a little kid in front of these many people.

But, bastard. Instead of just winning, why did you attack her sword with that ferocity? Your gentle swing crushed her sword to nothing but just debris from its remains. Brat, couldn't you just win normally?"

Hearing his words, I felt that victory surely is a luxury that can only be earned, but I had no regrets because, compared to the challenge I was facing, I was still quite easy on her.

And people on the sidelines started to have a sharp gaze at me and began to look at me coldly.

Seeing it and hearing such things made me feel somewhat guilty, as this bitch, who was about to kick my ass, was now sobbing like a child for her sword, but I did it in self-defense, but still everybody was staring at me in a pesky way, so I thought that I shouldn't back down from it.

So I gestured towards Ashoka and told him to wait for me as I went near that girl and saw her clearly now. Well, I didn't get the chance to focus clearly due to distance and her impatience, but she really was heavenly blessed in terms of figure, as when she was sobbing, her balloons were just moving up and down.

So seeing the balloon, I felt a strange kind of attachment to her, and I spoke. "Hey, why are you sobbing now? It was just a sword, and beside it, you were clearly about to kick my ass. If I hadn't reacted at the exact time, then I would have been gone before the match started. So stand proud and be good, and I was pretty worried, and other perverts are also staring at me, so stand up and at least show sportsmanship!"

Hearing my confrontation and seeing my gaze that was trying to catch a glimpse of the inside of her clothes made her somewhat blush, but she spoke in quite a frustrated and sad tone: "You wouldn't understand my pain! This sword was of my dying father, and he gave it to me while dying and told me to live by it and always keep it secure, but now it is shattered to mere debris."

Well, hearing her words surely made me realize that this little fool was nothing but a sentimental fool, as she was crying over her old rusty sword, which her father and that dumbass used. Instead of letting her daughter have a new sword, he just gave her his old sword.

Well, those are the people we can truly call some real bastards, and now this bitch was crying and trying to frame me as the bad guy. Even this bastard Ashoka was also looking at me like I was some kind of thug. Nobody was feeling guilty about that in the previous round, where my ass was beaten into pulp, and now in this match, when I just broke her 2nd sword, everybody is sympathizing with her.

Yeah, the great world only sucks benefits from you, and when it can't, it will just frame you as a bad guy!
