Zane
As I followed him behind the office, he led me into a small room with a transparent glass wall. I sat down, able to see the other side clearly—but no one was there yet.
Just then, the door opened, and Black walked in with Nilo and Nico. My heart skipped a beat the moment I saw them—my kids. My babies.
The instant their eyes met mine, they ran toward the glass.
"Dad! Dad, why are you inside? Why didn't you come to us?" Both of them were crying, and seeing their tears made mine fall too.
"No, my babies," I said, trying to smile through the pain. "I just couldn't come, but don't worry. I'll be back soon. Wait for me like good boys, okay?"
They nodded through their sobs, pressing their little hands against the glass. I could see Black standing behind them—his expression heavy with sadness as he looked at me.
"Zane, you won't believe what happened," he said quietly.
Then he told me everything—things I had no idea about. And honestly, I was shocked beyond words.
