Eden's Pov
I know he doesn't leave entirely. I can sense him hovering just by the doorway; the long shadow he casts on the floor gives his position away. But I don't question it or call him out. My focus is on the seething woman in front of me. Robbin nudges my shoulder with a sharp finger, her touch aggressive.
"Look, you must think you're really something, huh? Getting him to do what you want. You've turned him into a man he isn't," she spits out, her words laced with venom.
"We've been married for exactly three days," I state, keeping my voice as level as I can. "Change like that doesn't come that quickly. I think this side of him has always been a part of who he is. You just never saw it."
"Oh, really?" She lets out a short, bitter laugh that holds no humor.
