Chapter 4 - A quick but formidable battle!

With the supernatural senses of the Uzumaki clan, Kilin sensed the presence of lurking ninjas, probably five or more, but none of them seemed to possess jounin-level chakra or higher.

"They're probably just untrained thugs, but we shouldn't let our guard down since the war isn't over yet, and they seem to know how to use chakra," commented the other Senju, Senju Urui.

Like his twin brother, he had dark brown, shoulder-length hair, wore a dark green Jounin vest, and had light brown, almost yellow eyes. His physique, like most Senju, was robust, somewhat resembling The Rock.

In their early thirties, they were in their prime, but would hardly surpass the elite jounin level.

Kilin and Suijin nodded and looked around. Hoku did the same, and with the eyes he possessed, even as a baby, he had an extraordinary perception, surpassing even his mother's.

And thanks to his Uzumaki lineage, he was able to use his abilities at least enough to observe in detail.

And then, without any warning, without chanting the name of any jutsu, without shouting to the other side, the fight began.

Kunais came from inside the forest, at an impressive speed, probably ten or more.

But at an even greater speed, the Senju Jounins retaliated.

Clank! Clank!

Suijin charged forward, deflecting kunai with kunai. At a speed almost impossible for ordinary people to follow.

Hoku's luck was that he wasn't an ordinary person. He was able to follow the ongoing battle to a certain extent.

He could see that there were six enemies, but they had very little chakra compared to the Senju or his mother.

That's right, he could see through the trees and the bodies of everyone and see the chakra flow.

It seems that Hyuuga Hizame wasn't quite right in his assessment.

Looking intently, Hoku watched Suijin advance while Urui retreated, forming hand seals at breakneck speed. He then slammed his hands on the ground and chanted in his mind.

"Earth Style Ninjutsu: Earth Wall."

Thus, a wall over two meters high formed in front of the three, thick enough to block any attack from a Chunin-level or lower opponent.

"The defense of this jutsu is quite strong, but it takes time to execute. If the fight were against opponents of the same level, he would be dead before finishing the hand seals, but to defend against cannon fodder, it's enough."

Hoku analyzed, observing every detail of the battle and thinking about what he himself would do to have a more efficient fight.

"Suijin, they aren't even Chunin, so you can go all out, I'll take care of their safety," said Urui, encouraging Suijin to attack so they could end the battle quickly.

Because Kilin couldn't fight, even though she was an Uzumaki, she had recently given birth and was carrying a baby.

The Senju could finish much faster, but they preferred this approach to prevent Hoku from seeing blood at such a young age.

Little did they know that he had already seen much more blood than that, and he could see through the earthen wall with his special eyes.

"Alright, now I'm going all out," Suijin said with determination as he released his chakra, used the Body Flicker Technique to instantly appear in front of one of the bandits, and used his kunai to cut his throat.

And in the same instant, he disappeared from his place and appeared in front of another victim.

There were still four more bandits, but when they saw two of their own being cut like tofu, they turned around and ran for their lives.

But showing no mercy to any of them, Suijin made hand seals at the same speed as Urui, and when he finished, the result was impressive.

'Water Style Ninjutsu: High-Pressure Water Spears'

And so several pressurized water spears formed and hovered beside him for seconds, and without any warning they advanced at an impressive speed, impaling trees and bandits, leaving not a single one alive.

'The piercing power of this jutsu is impressive; if he could control them while they're in the air, it would be much more deadly,' Hoku thought as he observed the way the chakra moved through Suijin's body.

'So they aren't jounin by chance,' Hoku thought.

Already analyzing the battle with the experience of someone who had fought battles for years, he also took the opportunity to compare his former self with these elite jounin of the Senju clan.

'Physically, they are far superior to my past physique, possibly on the same level as Kolen,' he thought with a touch of nostalgia, remembering his friend.

Quickly returning to normal, he continued his analysis.

'At least the speed of the projectiles, whether kunai or water jutsu, is slower than my arrows, but only a little. If he gives it his all, I can't be sure.'

He finished the analysis by placing the Elite Jonin on the same level as the Rank A hunters.

'I already know the level my former self would have been if he came to this world. And I also know the level I need to surpass. In this world, I will use everything in my power to advance to the next level and reach the top.'

'I will live this life to the fullest, without regrets, without limiting myself, since I received this second chance in this world that I admired so much. I will make good use of this gift.'

Many transmigrants would want to return to their world and lament for days, but he had already overcome that phase, especially since he couldn't do anything as a baby. But deep down, he was curious to know how he ended up there.

But those were questions for the future. The goal now was to get stronger and survive, because as a Naruto fan he knew the dangers this world presented.

This quick battle made it clear that in this world, as in his previous one, it's kill or be killed, and only the strong prevail.

'Who would have thought that watching Naruto to relax the mind after a monster hunt would be so fundamental after death?'

He reflected on this and thought about how an anime, from over two hundred years ago, was still successful in 2225.

This was due to the hunters' need for entertainment; some turned to quick pleasure vices, such as brothels, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, etc.

Some with strong minds only needed their strong determination and the support of their family.

And many who were in the middle of these groups made use of TV programs, music, hobbies of all kinds, painting, fishing, etc.

And among these were anime fans, like Hoku, who read manga, web novels, and watched anime.

Of course, in two hundred years, there were many new and updated anime, since the production of this type of content never stopped.

But the old ones never lost their charm; Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, for example, continued to be successful even many years later.

That's how Hoku knows the story of Naruto and even his son.

Some of the skills he used in his past life came from anime inspirations.

'But knowing what I'm going to face didn't make things easier; on the contrary, it makes everything more challenging. Even possessing special eyes like these won't make me invincible immediately,' he thought, considering the number of hunters with very strong abilities who died pathetically simply for being overconfident. Pondering this, he was already planning what to do next.

Leaving those matters aside, he looked at the Senju shinobi, who had returned after killing 6 people as if he were harvesting cilantro.

"All settled, let's continue the journey, if there are no more obstacles we should arrive at Uzushiogakure tomorrow," said Suijin, already planning to leave.

As Senju and Uzumaki, they didn't need to rest, although they didn't have regeneration like Hashirama, they had energy to spare.

Those clans were true aberrations in that regard.

So they resumed their journey, this time without interruptions, they would soon arrive at Hoku's future home.

The Land of Whirlpools was located near the coast of the Land of Fire, being an archipelago of small islands, a typical island nation, like Japan, but on a smaller scale.

There were habitable regions on these islands, such as the capital where the Daimo of the Land of Whirlpools resided.

As well as other islands where people also lived, the main one was where the hidden whirlpool village existed, Uzushiogakure.

The village was located in the middle of the archipelago, clearly one of the larger islands.

The shinobi of the village were completely Uzumaki, since the village was not a conglomerate of clans like Konoha; on the contrary, it was exclusive to the Uzumaki clan.

Fooding their way around and circumnavigating island after island, occasionally spotting a red-haired ninja, they finally completed their journey.

The Senju Jounins of Konoha returned to the Hidden Leaf Village, leaving Kilin and his son on the island that housed the Uzumaki.

Because of the high tension of the war, which was practically over but still ran some risk of rising again, it is better for shinobi of this level to be back in the center of the village.

In fact, if it weren't for Mito, the Hokage would never have allowed them to leave the village at a time like this.

Kilin and Hoku continued advancing after separating from the Senju.

The journey from Konohagakure to Uzushiogakure took a while to complete, because while they were at sea a strong storm came, so they had to take shelter on an uninhabited island, but after two days they were in front of the gates of Uzushiogakure.

The sight ahead of Hoku left him disconcerted, to say the least.
