Chapter 18 - Chapter Eighteen

"Damn, dude had all the girls in his tent," Finn told me as I walked out.

I rolled my eyes. "Please refrain from speaking to Elias about that."

"You banged them both?"

"No," I replied, rolling my eyes.

"I really didn't think Elias would care; he brought a girl home, and she's in his tent right now."

"What?" It took me a few moments to respond; I couldn't believe he would do that.

"Yeah, this is getting fucked up," he laughed.

"This isn't a joke; Annette is going to be crushed."

"Well, she was the one dancing with other guys."

"That's one thing, but hooking up is another."

I made myself a cup of instant coffee. I didn't think even caffeine would get rid of this pounding headache. Stress headaches really sucked.

I saw Elias walking out of his tent, his shirt still off and wearing only his boxers.

My feet moved toward him, and I had already mentally prepared myself to control my anger.

"You needed to get your friend out of here."

"She's still sleeping; that wouldn't be very kind to my guest."

"And you're not even worried about Annette?"

"Nope." His response was so cold, as if he didn't care about her feelings at all. It made me seriously question the type of person he was.

"Elias, all this because she danced with another guy?"

He took a deep breath and ran his hands through his hair.

"I guess I messed up," he shrugged.

I saw the girls waking up, and I really didn't want Annette to get hurt. Just thinking about it was causing my heart a lot of discomfort.

I watched as Annette walked toward me. I noticed Abby sitting next to Finn, and I really wanted to distract Annette so she wouldn't find out the truth, but she deserved better than that.

"You're going to have to explain this to her, Elias."

I looked down at the ground, trying to hide how upset I truly was.
