Chapter 300 - Chapter 296 Half a Year of Growth

"Are you going back?" In the sauna built by Lynd, Nameria poured a scoop of water onto the hot goose-warming stones. As a burst of steam rose, she sat back down beside Lynd and suddenly asked.

"Yes!" Lynd nodded.

"When will you return?" Nameria asked again.

"I might stay in Westeros for the next few years," Lynd replied with certainty.

"Is it related to the Others in the North?" Nameria could feel Lynd's mood becoming increasingly tense during this time, and it seemed there was only one thing in all of Westeros that could make Lynd tense.

Lynd nodded and said, "If nothing unexpected happens, I should go to the Wall this time for a decisive battle with the Others. Regardless of whether the battle goes smoothly, I will return in a few years."

Nameria said without hesitation, "I'll go with you."

"No, it's more important for you to stay here than to come with me to Westeros!" Lynd shook his head and said with a serious expression, "If we lose the battle, we will definitely have to retreat to Essos, and you will be our fallback."

"You're not confident?" Nameria stared at Lynd and asked in a deep voice.

Lynd did not answer, but simply stood up and motioned for Nameria to follow him.

The two left the sauna, changed into light clothing, and then, with a team of Loisne guards, mounted their horses and rode towards the nearest Lorne Hills.

Soon, the group entered the edge of a primeval forest in the middle of an autumn wood. Lynd stopped and signaled everyone to wait. Not long after, the warhorses beneath them suddenly began to pace uneasily as if they had encountered a natural predator, and eventually, they simply collapsed to their knees.

All the Loisne were surprised, because the warhorses beneath them were not ordinary warhorses. These warhorses were all high-quality Dothraki warhorses, specially trained to withstand disturbances. Even if they encountered a beast attack, they would not be so terrified that all four of their legs would turn to jelly.

However, Nameria was completely different from the Loisne beside her. She felt that a mysterious creature with immense power was rapidly approaching. The power of this mysterious creature was far beyond what even the Old Man of the River could compare to, instead resembling the power of Mother Rhoyne that she had felt from the Lorne River on the day she received her enlightenment.

Just as everyone dismounted from their horses, looking at the forest with varying degrees of surprise and uncertainty, a strange giant dragon, as large as a Longwing Dragon, flew out from above the forest, gliding over Lynd and their heads, cutting a graceful arc in the air, and landing steadily in front of everyone.

"Its name is Deltos, and it is my dragon," Lynd introduced to the dumbfounded Nameria.

Nameria had seen the Glutton, and she had seen sea monsters, and she had seen the Old Man of the River. She even had a Longwing Dragon mount. She had seen mysterious creatures that most people in this world would never see in their entire lives, but Deltos, now before her, made her feel more magical than any mysterious creature she had ever seen, as if it were magic itself.

Its slender body, four legs, and four wings, a marble-like physique, and a majestic and elegant dragon head, all gave it an incredibly noble feeling. If this strange giant dragon were placed next to the Glutton, the Glutton would seem like a crude savage, while the dragon before them would be like a noble king.

"It's that Dragon Egg…" Nameria immediately thought of something and asked.
