Chapter 340 - Chapter 334 Jia Kun's Revenge Plan

It was inevitable that Arya would be punished upon returning to the Red Keep, especially after Lynd mentioned taking Arya to a brothel, her punishment became even more severe, and Eddard's gaze towards Lynd in the following days also showed a hint of displeasure.

Lynd did not appear in the Red Keep again in the following days; he mostly stayed in the camp outside the city.

As nobles and knights from various places arrived to participate in the martial arts tournament, more and more people wanted to see Lynd, forcing Lynd to return to King's Landing again, hiding in his official residence. At night, he would accept invitations from certain nobles to attend their banquets.

The day before the martial arts tournament, after Lynd attended a banquet hosted by a Red Keep dignitary, he returned to his official residence. His attendant handed him a surveillance report that had just been delivered by King's Landing intelligence personnel.

Lynd quickly scanned the intelligence and found that its content was related to Littlefinger. Earlier that day, Littlefinger had secretly met with a Lorath man in the brothel he operated. The two talked for a long time in the brothel, and the Lorath man did not leave until evening. His intelligence agents tracked the Lorath man but eventually lost him.

"A Lorath man?" A hint of confusion appeared on Lynd's face.

Lorath people are easy to identify; they usually dye their hair half red and half white and prefer to be addressed by 'a man' and 'a second man'.

So, when he saw the intelligence, the first person Lynd thought of was Jaqen. According to the development in the previous life's book, Jaqen should have already arrived in King's Landing by this time.

Just as Lynd was about to send someone to find Jaqen's whereabouts and confirm what Jaqen intended to do in King's Landing, Jaqen silently evaded the Chosen of God guarding the official residence and appeared before Lynd.

"A man did not expect the person tracking to be a man's man; a man is somewhat surprised," Jaqen said calmly after seeing Lynd.

Although she said she was surprised, she actually appeared very calm.

"I was just about to send someone to inquire about your whereabouts; your appearance just saves some trouble." Lynd waved his hand, signaling the Chosen of God who heard the commotion to leave, then invited Jaqen into the room and asked, "What do you want to do in King's Landing?"

Entering the room, Jaqen replied very calmly, "A man just wants to retrieve the justice that should have been retrieved more than ten years ago." Saying this, she looked at Lynd and asked, "Does a man want to stop it?"

"It is only natural for you to seek revenge; I do not intend to stop it," Lynd shook his head and said, "I just want to know what cooperation you have with Littlefinger, and whether it involves the Doomsday Faith?"

"Doomsday Faith?" Jaqen's always calm expression showed a slight crack, revealing a surprised look, and she said, "Why would a man be involved with the Doomsday Faith?"

Lynd then told Jaqen about Littlefinger's close contact with Doomsday Faith followers for a period of time. Jaqen was completely stunned after hearing this; she clearly did not know about this matter.

As the High Priestess of the House of Black and White, Jaqen was well aware of what the Doomsday Faith was all about, but unlike Lynd's attitude, she did not stand in opposition to the Doomsday Faith. For the Thousand-Faced God, any deity associated with death was a facet of the Thousand-Faced God, and the same applied to the deity worshipped by the Others Beyond the Wall.

Jaqen said in a deep voice, "A man's cooperation does not involve the Doomsday Faith; a man is merely assisting in provoking a war between the North and the Westerlands."

Hearing Jaqen's words, Lynd's mind immediately brought up possible answers, but he still asked, "How will it be provoked?"

Jaqen hesitated for a moment and said, "By hiring someone to assassinate a man's second son, who is currently in a coma, and leaving clues pointing to a man."

"As expected," Lynd thought to himself, then said in a deep voice, "You want Lady Catelyn in King's Landing to believe that Bran was pushed from the high tower by Jaime and Cersei because he spied on their affair, right?"
