Chapter 341 - Chapter 335 Jaqen was stunned, apparently not expecting Lynd to guess their plan, but she quickly recovered, nodded, and said, "Yes."

Jaqen was stunned, apparently not expecting Lynd to guess their plan, but she quickly recovered, nodded, and said, "Yes."

Lynd said in a deep voice, "To my knowledge, when Bran fell from the tower, Jaime and Cersei were not on that ruined tower; they were with the King."

"Yes, those two were indeed with the King, but there was another person who was not there until a man had an accident," Jaqen's expression became somewhat strange when she said this, but she quickly recovered.

Although Jaqen did not explicitly state the name of the person they intended to frame, from the intelligence Lynd received and Jaqen's emotional changes when mentioning 'a man', it was not difficult for Lynd to guess the person's identity.

"You want to frame the Little Devil." Lynd hadn't expected things to turn out this way; everything took a turn and came back to the starting point.

Jaqen nodded, then asked, "Does a man want to stop it?"

"No," Lynd shook his head.

Jaqen, instead, looked at Lynd with some confusion, asking, "Is a man not a friend?"

"Tyrion is indeed my friend," Lynd sighed and said, "But I have already tried to save him, and he refused me. Since it is his own chosen fate, then he must bear the consequences himself." Saying this, he asked again, "So, Lady Catelyn is already on her way to King's Landing?"

Jaqen's expression of surprise became even more pronounced, and before she could recover, she asked in confusion, "Is a man guessing this, or has a man been monitoring Winterfell all along?"

Lynd did not answer Jaqen's question, but instead motioned for Jaqen to leave, and again gave his assurance, "I will not interfere in your affairs, but I do not want your affairs to affect Summerhall, do you understand?"

"A man understands." Jaqen bowed to Lynd, then walked out of the room, retreating into the surrounding shadows, disappearing from Lynd's sight.

Seeing Jaqen leave, Lynd couldn't help but sigh. He could feel that Jaqen had many other plans she hadn't told him, likely due to some apprehension towards him.

Lynd could understand this, after all, everyone in Westeros now knew about the engagement between his son, Augustus, and Robert's daughter, Myrcella, making him indirectly related to the Lannister family by marriage.

Regardless, the current situation was developing along its predetermined course. He only needed to wait for the curtain to rise and harvest his chosen prey at the appropriate time.

"My lord, Duke Eddard is here to visit," the steward of the official residence hurried into Lynd's study and reported.

Lynd hesitated for a moment and instructed, "Show him in."

After the steward retreated upon hearing the instruction, a moment later, Lynd saw him lead in Eddard Stark, dressed in plain clothes, and his captain of the guard, Jory Cassel.

Lynd looked at Eddard Stark and said, "Duke Eddard, shouldn't you be preparing for tomorrow's martial arts tournament? After all, tomorrow's martial arts tournament is being held for you."

"There are more important things to do; the martial arts tournament is precisely the least necessary thing to do. If I could, I would truly wish for it to stop immediately." Duke Eddard unceremoniously expressed his distaste for the martial arts tournament. Then he looked at Lynd and said very seriously, "Prince Linde, I hope you can lend a sum of money to the Iron Throne."

"Lend money?" Lynd was stunned for a moment, then asked in a deep voice, "You haven't mentioned this to King Robert, have you?"

"No," Duke Eddard shook his head, puzzled, "Does it make a difference?"

"I once thought of lending money to King Robert, but he refused. He would rather borrow from the distant Iron Bank, from the Lannister family he despises, or from Highgarden, which he also despises, but he never wanted to borrow from me." Lynd sighed and said, "Do you know why King Robert did that?"

"Damn it!" Duke Eddard and Robert Baratheon grew up together, so how could he not understand him? Thus, he immediately understood why Robert wouldn't borrow from Lynd and couldn't help but curse.

Lynd said in a deep voice, "If I lent you money, that would be the greatest harm to King Robert. I apologize, Duke Eddard."
