Chapter 410 - Chapter 404 Lynd did not know what had happened after he left

On the other side, after Duke Tywin learned about the mercenary army's attack on Tumbleton, he did not punish the mercenary army. Instead, he had the Mountain incorporate the mercenary army and send them to Harrenhal to garrison, ready to support King's Landing at any time.

However, another matter quickly drew his attention: Daisy Mormont, who had been confronting Kevan at the Trident River crossing, had disappeared, and no one knew her whereabouts. This was not good news for the Westerlands, because although Daisy Mormont's army was not large, it was extremely powerful and could sway the outcome of any battlefield.

Lynd did not know what had happened after he left; he only wanted to reach Styria as quickly as possible and resolve this trouble before Euron made his sacrifice.

As Lynd focused on commanding Nessario's flight, Myrcella, held in his arms, had already recovered from her initial shock and fear, though the excitement and thrill still made her body tremble uncontrollably.

Although Lynd used the Storm Dragon Rune to block the surrounding cold wind, it could not stop the frigid temperatures at high altitudes. Fortunately, when the Lava Dragon flew, its body emitted bursts of heat, enough to dispel the surrounding chill. The only drawback was that the heat had a strong sulfur smell, like rotten eggs.

However, Myrcella had completely ignored these issues by now; her attention was entirely on the landscape below. Even though all she saw was the dark blue ocean, she still found it incredibly novel.

The Lava Dragon flew very fast, crossing the Narrow Sea in a few hours. From a distance, a huge port city could be seen standing on the coastline.

"Prince, is that Pentos, one of the Free Trade City States across the Narrow Sea?" Myrcella quickly identified the city from some of its distinctly featured buildings.

Lynd did not answer Myrcella's question but ordered the Lava Dragon to descend and then glide over the city of Pentos.

The Lava Dragon flew very low, almost skimming the rooftops. People in Pentos could even clearly see the Dragon Skin scales on the Lava Dragon's belly. Everyone was terrified and panicked, and the City Watch sounded the alarm horns. The chaos within the city continued for a long time even after they left.

"Your Grace, what you did was not good; someone might get hurt because of it," Myrcella suddenly accused Lynd's actions when the Lava Dragon re-ascended and flew below the clouds.

Hearing Myrcella's words, Lynd was neither angry nor showed much appreciation for Myrcella's kindness; he just smiled and said nothing.

After a long time, Myrcella suddenly spoke, "I'm sorry, Prince, I shouldn't have criticized you just now."

Lynd could feel Myrcella's worry at that moment, so he reached out and stroked Myrcella's head, smiling, "No, you are right. You should stick to your kindness and have no worries. I am not someone who cannot tolerate criticism. It's just that I don't necessarily have to follow others' criticisms, even if the criticism itself is correct."

Myrcella turned her head to look at Lynd, who was wearing a helmet, confused. "If it's correct, why not follow it?"

"That is the capriciousness of the strong," Lynd said, then firmly gripped Myrcella's body with both hands, securing her to the seat, and simultaneously issued a command to Nessario.

Immediately after, Nessario retracted its wings, then spun and plunged towards the ground. Myrcella immediately screamed in terror, and just as Nessario was about to land, its wings instantly spread, and a powerful vortex of wind generated beneath it, supporting Nessario as it flew close to the ground, then ascended back into the air.

Although Myrcella had stopped screaming, she was still immersed in the thrilling scene from moments ago, sitting there stunned, like a stone statue.

"Hmm? What's that smell?" Lynd suddenly sniffed hard, then deliberately said in a teasing tone.

Hearing this, Myrcella's previously pale and colorless cheeks instantly turned crimson, and she curled into a ball, lowering her head and saying nothing more.

For the rest of the journey, Myrcella kept her head down, saying nothing until they flew over Na Sa Star.

The appearance of the Lava Dragon also attracted the attention of Na Sa Star's guards. They immediately aimed the ballistas on the city walls and various guard towers throughout the city at Nessario, ready to attack, until their captain identified the Lava Dragon's affiliation, then ordered to relax their vigilance.

Lynd was very pleased with Na Sa Star's guard's city defense awareness, even though he was the one being targeted by the ballistas.

The Lava Dragon flew over the city, landing in a clearing specially designated for dragons in the courtyard of Nymeria's palace. The Dragon Servants transferred from Summerhall were already waiting nearby, and molten metal was placed in crucibles, ready to replenish the Lava Dragon's energy.

Lynd stood up from the Dragon Saddle, while Myrcella still sat with her head down on the seat. He smiled, extended his hand to Myrcella, and said, "I think you should change your clothes. You can't change while sitting here."

Hearing Lynd's words, Myrcella, her face flushed with embarrassment, extended her hand, allowing Lynd to lead her down from the Dragon's back.

At this moment, Nymeria, who was handling affairs in the study, also came to the courtyard. She saw Lynd leading a little girl down from the Dragon's back and was momentarily stunned. Then, as if realizing something, a smile appeared on her face.

"Didn't you say you wouldn't be able to come for a while? How did you get here so quickly?" Nymeria walked up to Lynd and asked.

Lynd replied, "An urgent matter. I need to go to Asshai."

"Asshai?" Nymeria couldn't help but be surprised.

This was not a good place to discuss such matters. Lynd did not continue to explain but led Myrcella to his side and said, "This is Princess Myrcella. She will reside here from now on. Once Augustus comes of age, he can marry her."

"Hello, Princess Myrcella," Nymeria said with a smile, "I hope you will live happily here in the future."

"Greetings, Your Majesty," Myrcella took a deep breath, composed herself, and replied very gracefully, "I very much look forward to my future life in Na Sa Star."

Lynd waved to a maid nearby and said, "Take Myrcella to change her clothes. She was a bit uncomfortable in the air just now and got her clothes dirty."

Nymeria heard this and looked at Myrcella with a peculiar gaze, then, as if playing a prank, she deliberately sniffed hard. Myrcella's face again turned crimson with shyness, and she lowered her head, following closely behind the maid to the palace's guest rooms.

"She's your daughter-in-law, it's not good for you to tease her like that," Nymeria said, pointing at Lynd.

Lynd squinted at Nymeria and said, "I wonder who deliberately made that gesture just now, as if afraid others wouldn't see you sniffing. With a mother-in-law like you, she's going to have a lot to put up with later."

Nymeria also laughed and playfully punched Lynd's arm.

Lynd turned his head and looked around, asking, "Where's Augustus?"

"Oh, that's right! I have something to show you, a surprise for you," Nymeria suddenly said with a wide smile, pulling Lynd towards the garden behind the palace.
