Chapter 411 - Chapter 405 Five-Colored Dragon

Lynd and Nymeria quickly arrived outside a renovated stone house in the garden, where Augustus was standing with some attendants and guards.

Augustus was peering into the doorway, stretching his neck to look inside as if observing something new and fascinating, so engrossed that he didn't notice Lynd and Nymeria approach behind him.

Just as Lynd was about to walk over and see what was so captivating inside the stone house, he suddenly heard several strange cries coming from within, and a burst of fire shot out from the doorway, scaring Augustus and the other onlookers away.

"Dragons?" Lynd turned to look at Nymeria.

Nymeria nodded.

At this moment, Augustus also realized Lynd's presence.

After a brief stunned, he recognized Lynd and immediately stepped forward, wanting to embrace him, but stopped short in front of Lynd.

He bowed awkwardly with a hint of inexplicable fear, saying, "Father, you're back!"

Lynd looked at Augustus, who wasn't very close to him, and sighed slightly.

He reached out and stroked his head, saying, "I am your father, there's no need to be so formal."

"Yes, Father." Although Augustus relaxed a bit, he was still somewhat nervous.

Lynd said no more, pointing to the stone house and asking knowingly, "What were you looking at just now?"

"Dragons, Father, it's dragons!" Augustus was much livelier now, pulling Lynd's hand and pointing excitedly at the stone house.

Lynd was led by Augustus to the doorway of the stone house and looked inside.

Although Lynd had already guessed there were dragons in the stone house, he hadn't guessed the number.

Inside the stone house, five young dragons, the size of puppies, were chained.

They appeared very fierce, constantly tugging at their chains and hissing at the other young dragons.

If not for the chains confining them to different corners, they might have already torn at each other.

The five young dragons were of different colors: black, red, blue, green, and white, making Lynd feel as if he had entered another world and was seeing the five-colored dragons of that world.

"Where did these five dragons come from? I didn't know about them." Lynd turned to Nymeria and asked.

Nymeria explained, "When Elizabeth and Alexander were born, a group of survivors from the Salor Kingdom, whom I had protected, gave me some gifts, among which were five fossilized Dragon Eggs.

I didn't take them seriously at first.

The Old Man of the River had already sensed that the Dragon Eggs had no life and should be dead eggs, so I gave one to each of Augustus and the others as toys.

Who would have thought that on the day the Red Comet appeared, all five Dragon Eggs inexplicably hatched into young dragons?"

After hearing this, Lynd thought for a moment and asked, "On the day the Red Comet appeared, did you perform any human sacrifices here?"

"Human sacrifices? Of course not." Nymeria shook her head repeatedly, then seemed to recall something and said, "However, that day, five Dothraki Khals who had invaded the border, along with some bandits, were executed in front of the Temple of the God of Calamities.

Could the hatching of the Dragon Eggs be related to the execution of these people?"

"Perhaps!" Lynd was also at a loss.

He felt it shouldn't have anything to do with sacrifice, yet the timing was so coincidental.

However, he didn't dwell on this issue, pointing to the chains restraining the young dragons and asking, "Why are they chained up?"

Nymeria said, "These five young dragons are very fierce.

Soon after they were born, they attacked Caesar and Alexander, so I chained them all up in the stone house."

"Alexander and Caesar were injured?" Lynd's expression darkened slightly.

"It's nothing, just two bites on their arms.

They were still palm-sized young dragons then, the wounds weren't deep, and they've already healed." Nymeria motioned for Lynd not to worry, smiling as she said, "They didn't even cry when they were injured, and they said that they were bitten because they weren't close to the young dragons, and that they wanted to feed them meat themselves so they could get closer to them, and then they would be able to ride dragons like you in the future."

"Does that work?" Lynd asked doubtfully.

"It works, it works!" Before Nymeria could answer, Augustus excitedly said, "Now when I feed Balerion, Balerion doesn't hiss at me anymore; he'll obediently eat the meat I offer him."

"Balerion, Black Death?" Lynd chuckled, "Have you already named the five dragons?"

"Yes." Augustus nodded, pointing to the black dragon in the corner, and said, "That's my dragon, named Balerion.

Mother said there was once a black dragon named Balerion who was the strongest, and people called him Black Death."

"What are the other dragons called?" Lynd asked again.

Augustus pointed to each young dragon and introduced them one by one: "The red dragon is Katerina's, named Meraxes; the green dragon is Caesar's, named Vhagar; the white dragon is Alexander's, named Vermithor; and the blue dragon is Elizabeth's, named Tessarion."

Just as Augustus was introducing the young dragons, footsteps echoed from a nearby corridor, and then Katerina, Caesar, Alexander, and Elizabeth, the four little ones, appeared, carrying a large wicker basket full of fresh meat, leaving a trail of blood as they walked.

The surrounding attendants, maids, and guards followed nervously, fearing the four might accidentally fall.

However, even with protection, the four little ones were bound to encounter an accident.

As they entered the garden from the passageway, Alexander and Elizabeth, walking behind the others, didn't see the steps and missed a footing, tumbling forward and pressing themselves and the meat basket onto Katerina and Caesar in front.

The nearby attendants and others had no time to protect them, and Katerina and Caesar both thought they would be injured, letting out a startled cry.

However, something strange suddenly happened: the four little ones and the meat basket suddenly floated in the air as if they had lost their weight, and then drifted towards Lynd and the others.

After the initial panic, the four little ones also saw Lynd standing beside Nymeria.

At first, they didn't immediately recognize who this person in armor was, until they saw the dragon helmet Lynd was holding in his hand, which revealed his identity.

Lynd set them down on the ground and removed the telekinetic force from them.

The four then scrambled to their feet and respectfully bowed to Lynd, saying, "Father."

Looking at their reserved demeanor, Lynd could only smile bitterly and shake his head.

He didn't correct their behavior again, because he knew very well that even if he corrected them now, once he hadn't spent time with them for a long period, the next time he saw them, they would still appear so reserved and unfamiliar.

Lynd squatted down, looking at his children, and asked, "Do you want your dragons to always stay by your side?"

The four's eyes lit up, and they nodded repeatedly.

Augustus, behind them, couldn't help but ask, "Do you have a way to make the dragons not attack us?"

"Maybe there's a way." Lynd smiled, not giving a definite answer.

Then he gestured for the guards to open the door, and he walked into the stone house.

Facing the sudden intrusion of a stranger, the five young dragons hissed at him, appearing very unfriendly and seemingly wanting to attack Lynd.

However, Augustus and the others standing outside the door could all sense that their young dragons were extremely fearful of Lynd, rather than wanting to attack him.
