Chapter 249 - Chapter 249 Who is with you and us?

Thump!

The 'Beetle' spaceship entered the Kryptonian mothership, which was suspended outside the atmosphere.

The hatch opened, and Fiora and the other Kryptonians led Eric to the spacious central area of the ship.

Standing in the center of the ship were several armored Kryptonians, awaiting Eric's arrival.

Eric surveyed his surroundings, then followed Fiora towards the central area.

A man with resolute eyes, standing amidst a dozen armored Kryptonians, looked at Eric.

"We have been waiting for you for a long time, the distant Son of Krypton's Legacy!"

The man, possessing a formidable aura, said to Eric, "We have heard your name ever since we set out from the old-era sentinel station."

"So you are Zod?"

Eric frowned and asked him, while his peripheral vision caught Rika standing among the Kryptonians.

"It's General Zod!"

Fiora, standing behind Eric, removed her mask, revealing stunning features. "General Zod is our commander!"

"It's alright, Fiora!"

General Zod smiled at Fiora. "We can forgive our Son of Krypton's Legacy for his oversight in etiquette; these things are new to him. We are here to seek cooperation, not conflict."

General Zod's tone was not aggressive; on the contrary, it was very calm.

But Eric still felt a threat from him.

It was the Doomsday template within him, issuing a warning when facing a powerful presence.

"I am not a Kryptonian."

Eric stared into his eyes and said.

"No, you are. I can feel it; your body, your power, all originate from Krypton. After Krypton's destruction, some Kryptonians left on spaceships before the planet was destroyed. As far as I know, Kal-El was not the first, nor will he be the last. You—you also belong to that group of escaping Kryptonians!"

General Zod seemed convinced that Eric was a descendant of Krypton. "Krypton is your home. This place, Earth, surrounded by desolation and savagery, is not your home."

"You cannot decide where my home belongs."

Eric shook his head, but then a dizzying sensation washed over him.

A feeling of weakness and powerlessness instantly enveloped his entire body.

Bang!

Eric knelt on one knee, breathing heavily.

"It seems you cannot quickly adapt to Krypton's environment."

Zod looked at Eric, who was half-kneeling and clearly in an abnormal state, and said, "You are rejecting the ship's atmosphere. You spent a lifetime adapting to Earth's environment, yet you cannot adapt to the environment of your original home. It's quite ironic."

Eric ignored General Zod's words, his chest heaving, breathing heavily.

Although Krypton's atmosphere had an impact on his body, the Doomsday template within him was gradually making his body adapt to this environment.

The feeling of weakness inside him was constantly disappearing, and his adaptability to the environment was gradually increasing.

"Should I call you Eric Kent, the name given to you by Earthlings, or should I address you by a Kryptonian name?"

General Zod asked Eric.

Without waiting for his answer, General Zod turned and looked out at the vast starry sky beyond the ship.

"I was once Krypton's military leader. I exhausted every means to prevent our planet's demise, to prevent its destruction, but I and my soldiers could only be confined to the Phantom Zone, watching our planet slowly perish, powerless and in vain. We were free, but only to drift among the ruins of our planet, lost and without direction, until our own destruction."

Eric coughed, covering his chest, and asked him, "How did you find Earth?"

"Two of my subordinates escaped from the Phantom Zone, traveling in a ship with a projection system modified into a propulsion system. They reached Earth, which served as an anchor point. Subsequently, we established deeper anchor points, warp jumping through countless old-era Kryptonian outpost colonies, replenishing fuel and tools along the way as we advanced towards this location."

When General Zod mentioned his two subordinates, Eric glanced at Rika.

Eric had not allowed her to tell General Zod everything that happened after she arrived on Earth.

So, at present, the other party did not know that one of his subordinates had already been eliminated by him.

"Kal, you now have an opportunity to help us save the remnants of your race."

General Zod looked at Eric, his tone carrying a hint of seriousness.

"Everything I have done is to ensure the survival of Krypton. I swore an oath that I would use every means to give the people of Krypton a home again! Kal, you can help us. We are a race with the same destiny!"

"Is that so?"

Eric looked at him coldly. "At the cost of destroying Earth?"

"If you wish to be reborn, then you must inevitably cut away the old vines. This is the meaning of sacrifice!"

General Zod had no intention of giving up on recruiting Eric.

"I know you are Kal-El's brother, but he and you, and us, are different!"

Eric's expression subtly changed when he heard him mention Clark.

"You know Clark?"

"Of course I know. You are Eric Kent, he is your Earth brother, but do not let these Earthly emotions blind you. He has no blood relation to you!"

Zod gazed into Eric's eyes, his expression still calm. "On Krypton, the genetic template of every life about to be born was encrypted at the Citizen Registry. Kal's father stole the Registry Codex and placed it in the spaceship that brought Kal."

"For his own selfish gain, he disregarded the entire people of Krypton, abandoning responsibility and guardianship, solely for his son. Jor-El's greatness was replaced by selfishness at the last moment!"

"So you killed him?" Eric continued to ask him.

"I had no choice! Since my banishment, not a day has passed that I haven't felt pain because of it, but I have no regrets. If I had to choose again, I would still do it, and I will not allow anyone to stop me!"

"Now, tell me, Kal, do you choose to stand with Kal, or are you willing to fight for your last remaining kin?"

General Zod issued his ultimatum to Eric.

"You've got one thing wrong."

Eric slowly stood up from the ground.

"What?"

"My people are not here!"

Eric suddenly threw a punch!

Bang!

The air roared as his lightning-fast fist directly struck General Zod's armor, sending him flying with a resounding thud.

Although he couldn't fully adapt to the simulated Kryptonian environment inside the Kryptonian ship, there was no problem in him exerting seventy to eighty percent of his strength.

Clang!

General Zod's body slammed heavily against the ship's bulkhead, emitting a harsh metallic screech.

Due to the high gravity and atmospheric composition of Krypton, Eric's attack did not have the same powerful effect as it would in Earth's atmosphere.

Even so, General Zod, clad in armor, still felt an intense pain in his body.

Seeing their commander sent flying by Eric's punch, the remaining Kryptonians were astonished!

They quickly reacted and launched an attack on Eric.

Fiora, being closest to Eric, lunged forward, her fist powerfully striking towards Eric.

Fiora, who had begun to be exposed to the sun, had already awakened her superhuman strength. Her thunderous punch, cutting a sharp explosive sound through the air, struck towards Eric.

Eric raised his right arm, blocking Fiora's attack.

As a warrior with honed combat skills, Fiora immediately retracted her fist, clenched her left hand, and threw a straight punch.

While attacking Eric's exposed chest, she raised her right leg, twisted her waist, and spun her leg, launching an attack from both high and low towards Eric.

The air whistled as Fiora's combination attack, using her entire body as a weapon for combat, struck towards Eric.

Bang!

Eric blocked her fist and took a step back.

The air let out a strong explosive roar as Fiora's fist struck!

Eric stepped back, bent at the waist, rotated his torso, avoiding all of her attacks while simultaneously throwing a right punch.

With a loud bang.

Fiora's cheek was struck by Eric, and she fell heavily to the ground.

Fiora, who was thrown sideways, immediately stood up despite the pain in her body. Her figure transformed into a lightning bolt, rushing directly towards Eric.

As a result, Eric grabbed her by the neck and slammed her heavily to the ground.

Bang!

The ship's floor vibrated slightly as Fiora's body slammed into it.

Fiora let out a muffled groan as intense pain radiated through her.

"You're too weak!"

Eric, expressionless, retorted to her before kicking her away.

The rest of the Kryptonian soldiers immediately rushed forward as Fiora was kicked away by Eric.

Bang!

Eric lunged forward, instantly moving in front of the foremost Kryptonian soldier, striking him in the chest with a punch.

The Kryptonian, hit in the chest, flew like a baseball directly into the crowd.

Having suddenly sustained such a severe blow, blood immediately gushed from his mouth.

The other rushing Kryptonians were collided with, immediately falling heavily and rolling along the ground.

General Zod, who had been ambushed by Eric, stood up, his eyes flashing with hatred. With a leap, he moved to Eric's side, attempting to grab Eric's arm and throw him to the ground.

As the highest military officer of Krypton, General Zod possessed incredibly powerful combat skills and fighting spirit, but because he had not yet fully adapted to Earth's environment and was exposed to the yellow sun, his combat power was temporarily incomparable to Superman's Eric.

Even though Eric was hampered by Krypton's atmosphere and unable to exert his full strength.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sound of fists colliding with muscle echoed within the ship.

Eric casually flicked his hand, breaking free from Zod's grip on his arm. He used his left arm to block several of Zod's consecutive attacks, then threw a punch, hitting Zod's shoulder and sending him smashing backward.
