Chapter 121: The Excited Fourth Raikage A

Inoichi also walked over, patted Choza on the shoulder, and spoke softly.

"Didn't you see that Homura and Koharu, the two advisors, are already standing on Danzo's side? We just need to do our own jobs well."

Hearing Shikaku and Inoichi's words, Choza let out a sigh. "I just feel that, with the current situation still unclear, Danzo has already started planning to compete for fame and gain. It's really a bit…"

At that point, Choza did not continue, but Shikaku and Inoichi both understood what he meant.

The two exchanged a glance, the same trace of helplessness flashing through their eyes.

At this moment, with the power of the Root as his foundation, along with the assistance of Homura and Koharu, Danzo quickly gathered a large number of ninja and rushed toward Hiruzen's position.

At the same time, not only were the Konoha ninja assembling, but the forces of the Mist Ninja, Sand Ninja, and Sound Ninja were also gradually gathering.

Gradually, the entire battlefield formed four separate forces.

One force was the Mist Ninja unit stationed at the gates of Konoha, while another was composed of the Sand Ninja together with a very small number of Sound Ninja.

On Konoha's side, there were also two forces: one led by Hiruzen, and another led by Danzo.

When Hiruzen saw Danzo arrive with a large number of Konoha ninja, his gaze flickered slightly, but he did not say anything.

Similarly, Danzo merely exchanged a glance with Hiruzen and also said nothing.

The two of them simultaneously mobilized their forces and launched an attack against the Sand Ninja.

With the One-Tail Shukaku gone and Orochimaru completely acting as a bystander, the Sand Ninja forces were no match for the full power of Konoha and were driven back step by step.

Left with no choice, the Sand Ninja were forced to retreat toward the direction of Konoha's main gate.

"So this is Konoha's strength. It's really terrifying," Suigetsu said with a sigh as he stood atop a pillar at Konoha's gate, looking at the Sand Ninja forces retreating continuously toward them.

"You don't look scared at all," Kimimaro said calmly, having appeared behind Suigetsu at some point.

Hearing the sudden voice behind him, Suigetsu jolted in fright and turned to Kimimaro with a helpless expression.

"Could you at least make some noise when you show up? You came back so quickly—looks like your progress didn't go very smoothly."

After speaking, Suigetsu glanced at Haku, who was standing not far away.

"Yes. Konoha's reaction speed was much faster than expected. Before we even began, Konoha's ninja had already found us. The Byakugan's abilities really are troublesome," Kimimaro said with a frown, his voice carrying guilt and disappointment.

"Don't worry about it. What you were doing wasn't even part of the plan. Whether it succeeded or not doesn't really matter much to Lord Yuto," Suigetsu said casually as he looked at Kimimaro's guilty expression.

...

Kumogakure.

Near the central mountain range.

Killer B, bruised and swollen, looked ahead at the Fourth Raikage A, whose chakra was surging violently.

"I'm done fighting, I'm done…" Killer B said as he shook his head repeatedly, even his usual strange cadence returning to normal.

Hearing Killer B's words, A dispersed the Lightning Release chakra around his body, a hint of dissatisfaction in his voice.

"Recently, you've been slacking off in your training."

Slacking off?

Killer B's mouth twitched. Anyone would slack off if they trained every single day.

"A, have you had something on your mind lately?" Killer B asked with a curious look as he glanced at him.

Normally, Killer B only trained with A once in a while, but recently the intervals between their training sessions had grown shorter and shorter.

Now they had even trained for two consecutive days, and Killer B simply did not believe there was nothing bothering him.

Hearing this, A paused slightly, then clenched his fists.

"Looks like the training still isn't enough. Otherwise, you wouldn't have the energy to worry about me."

Killer B's expression stiffened, and he hurriedly stepped back several paces.

Just as A was about to make another move, the sound of hurried footsteps came from afar.

Mabui leapt forward several times and appeared before A. After taking a deep breath to steady herself, she spoke with a grave expression.

"Raikage-sama, there's news."

A's eyes lit up. He was just about to speak when he suddenly remembered Killer B beside him and turned to glance over.

Killer B's eyes were filled with curiosity, but seeing that A had no intention of telling him, he did not pry further.

Patting the dust from his body, Killer B waved to Mabui and turned to walk off in another direction.

Only after Killer B's figure disappeared did A turn his attention back to Mabui.

"Raikage-sama, the Mist Village has indeed made its move," Mabui said excitedly.

A's expression sharpened, and a rare look of excitement appeared on his rugged face.

"I didn't expect the Mist Village to have this much courage, daring to strike Konoha directly. It seems I underestimated them."

As he spoke, A strode toward the Raikage's office.

As he walked, he continued speaking. "Is there any other intelligence?"

Mabui followed closely behind and quickly added, "Not only the Mist Village, but the Sand Village has also attacked Konoha. It seems both villages have deployed tailed beasts, and Konoha was completely unprepared."

At that point, Mabui paused briefly before continuing, "After that, there was no more news. If my guess is correct, the spies we placed in Konoha have likely been eliminated."

"The Sand Village and Mist Village joining forces to attack Konoha—interesting," A said, unable to suppress the grin on his face.

"What should we do next? Should we help Konoha, or…" Mabui asked solemnly, trailing off before finishing her sentence.

"Why would we help Konoha? Such a good opportunity shouldn't be wasted. Since the Mist Village and Sand Village have already joined the battle, how could the Cloud Village stay out of it?" A said coldly.

As he spoke, he stopped, raised his head, and looked in Konoha's direction.

"What's more, if our luck is good, we might even wipe Konoha out entirely."

Mabui's body trembled, her voice tinged with tension. "The Fourth Great Ninja War?"

"Compared to a true ninja world war, this doesn't count," A replied.

"If we really manage to destroy Konoha, there won't be any chance of another ninja war for fifty or sixty years. After all, territory as vast as Konoha's takes a very long time to digest."

His voice carried both domineering authority and a chilling edge.
